Radio host Joyce Kaufman, whose comments may have triggered a threat against Broward County schools, has announced she won't become chief of staff for conservative Congressman-elect Allen West. Meanwhile the phone call warning of the attack that led to a three-hour lockdown has been traced to a caller outside South Florida, Pembroke Pines Police said Thursday.
Kaufman said she didn't want to tarnish West's reputation.
``I will not be used in an electronic lynching by proxy,'' Kaufman said Thursday.

The Joyce Kaufman I was listening to in So. Fla several years ago was NO conservative. Why would a tea-party candidate like West want her anywhere near him? Has she changed?
I have to wonder if this whole event might have been the brainchild of someone who was disappointed with Col West’s win. The fingers pointed at Ms. Kaufman were very quick on the draw as well as the culling and editing of video only available on youtube. It wasn’t like news outlets had this stuff in their own archives.
Timeline:
11/9 Joyce announces here position with West on air about 12pm
11/10 Schools shut down due to threat first received by 850AM radio (Joyce’s station). In short order local news outlets start weaving the threads to tie this to Joyce Kaufman using statements about what various officials “didn’t say.
11/10 evening Maddow has a segment on her show with heavily edited video of Joyce from the 7/4 Tea Party.
11/11 Joyce withdraws as Congressman elect West’s chief of staff.
Thank God that Broward co has a stand up Republican sheriff who has jurisdiction over the investigation of who made the threat.
Wouldn't be surprised to find out this is a Reichstag Fire gambit by some Leftist.
JK should not be taking the fall for what some idiot did. Her words are being twisted by the south Florida media and is typical assassination of character.
Liberals are rampant in south Florida and their heads are exploding because a conservative black man is our new representative. And he is pro-Tea Party. So now the Tea Party is being indicted by the idiot press.
She changed big time after 9/11.
Joyce changed about the same time Steve Kane and Rick Seiderman did.

I remember Kane as a libertarian, and Rantel is in CA now? He has shown up on Oreilly a couple of times, but not for awhile.
