Your picture of a genuine plane contrail is very welcome on this thread.
It looks so very different from our mystery trail. Note the wind smear across its entire length. Also, it is pointing “downwards”.

What you have there seems to be a contrail coming at us from over a mountain top, straight towards us.
It is an illusion.
Smoke coming out of the back of a rocket is what we see in the video, the enlargements etc.
Have you read the dozens with missile expertise what do not agree with the ridiculous contrail idea?

Yea, straight up and continued over the sky overhead right? Well the LA contrail went off to the NW, it never arced over the sky. Explain that one.
Where was it fired from? Very close to Mexican waters. I think it is most likely a test firing of the Tecate2 Mexican missle.
