It’s obvoius that someone has ‘accidently’ misfired a missle from a sub, and now they’re trying to figure out how to explain it.
Your picture of a genuine plane contrail is very welcome on this thread.
It looks so very different from our mystery trail. Note the wind smear across its entire length. Also, it is pointing “downwards”.
It's a 3-D effect projected onto a 2-D medium, with nothing to provide a sense of perspective or depth.
It looks sorta like a missile, but you have no actual data to support it, other than that.
But you shouldn't be worried about that. Here's a far more alarming picture of a couple of ships being driven straight down!
Yeah, I was debating whether to label it correctly. But I went with up to mirror the comments centered around this recent event.
It's obviously a jet, anyone can see that.
/sarcasm
“A vertical contrail. Planes fly straight upwards, right?”
The image is only vertical from the angle at which the picture is taken. Hold a ruler on the angle of a plane taking off. The perpendicular view looks like a plane taking off, the horizontal view is shortened and goes straight up and down.
Goose is dead. Is this some kind of a sick joke?
;)
It tends to resemble every launch I’ve ever seen video and or pictures of from NASA. Or it’s one hell of an experimental plane. But unicorn farts are the most realistic explanation.
The Chinese have ships that can sail on solid ground?!?!!?!? We are F’d.
Ok, so find the airplane. If it were that easy, someone would have done it by now. So far, no one (NORAD, NASA, FAA, Art Bell)has found the generating aircraft.

A vertical contrail. Planes fly straight upwards, right?
Especially commercial airliners. It makes the take off more exciting for the passengers.
Good one. Nice light touch.
Whatever that was - it put out a LOT of propellant to leave a trail like that. Especially when viewed so many miles away.
It was not a smaller missile like a Star Wars interceptor test. This was an an ICBM.
It is not a plane or contrail. It looks like a sub launched ICBM.
I agree
That's what they want you to believe.
I tinks youse was lookin at the same vid as me. I saw a initial vertical lift and then course determination and correction which sould be consistent with a submerged launching.
Superman could only leave a condensation tail if he farts a superfart. I think you may be onto something here.
This guy wasn’t at LAX.
This guy was 35 miles OUT TO SEA, and several thousand feet high.
The camera ‘view’ is of just one direction.
I live very near a MAJOR airport. Tuesday, when I was out, I saw two contrails. One had to look for them. If one had a videocamera, one would have to point it in exactly the right spot to get a picture. Having a videocamera, one could ZOOM in to the object of interest , which would further DISTORT THE PERCEPTION, especially if the object was coming directly at the camera.
The pilot who FILMED this, said that he saw almost the EXACT SAME THING a day or two before. How do you explain that?

Thats an awful lot of contrail for an aircraft. I see jets in the air all day where I work and none of the contrails look like that. It looks more like a a trail like the ones we see when vandenberg lights one off.
Exactly.
and Thanks.
A submarine error, and cover up, no doubt. Someone pushed wrong button....nothing mysterious here.
