Why didn`t they then just say, don't worry about getting the exact spelling right, because they will only need to be shown what your intent was.
So really they could have even said....it`s not a big deal doing a write in vote, even if you just come close to the spelling, will be just fine.

On another note, for those on this board arguing for “voter intent”, what about Murk’s intent to ‘respect the primary results and return home?’ Should that matter?
The law is the law and she had every right to run as a write in but why would she be considered a serious candidate? Why would people vote for her?
It sounds somewhat suspicious that these votes are all legitimate as write-ins are usually never successful.
