BORN IN THE USA? Officer's brother: 'Obama could have made this all go away'
WND ^ | 11/10/10 | Bob Unruh

An attorney-doctor from Kansas whose brother is scheduled for a court-martial says President Obama could, if he chose, resolve the dispute virtually without effort.

Greg Lakin, whose brother is Lt. Col. Terrence Lakin, told talk radio show host Peter Boyles on KHOW radio in Denver that it would be "easy."

"It could have been an easy fix. Obama could have stepped up and done the honorable thing and made this all go away," Greg Lakin said in the interview this week. "Just some type of showing, 'Hey, I was born here … here's some proof.'"

WND reported a new trial date has been announced by the military for Lt. Col. Terrence Lakin, the career Army doctor who decided to refuse an assignment to Afghanistan because of his concern that the orders he was issued in a chain of command headed by Barack Obama were not legal.

According to attorney Neal Puckett, who has represented Lakin since a military judge ordered Lakin could not have access to any information about President Obama's eligibility, the trial is scheduled to begin Dec. 14 and run for three days.

He confirmed to WND that there will be new directions for the defense but could not elaborate.

"All I can really say is the case is going to be handled differently from here on out," he said.

Greg Lakin said he fears the military, which he said never has had to confront the possibility that a president may not be eligible and his orders then may be illegitimate, may take the easy way out and simply lock up his brother.

I still am wondering about the possibility that a US serviceman is captured and not given POW treatment because he was operating under orders ultimately issued by an ineligible commander in chief.

I know our enemies don't need a reason to mistreat captured US soldiers. but the same crowd who wants to prosecute Bush administration officials for war crimes seems to lose its laser-like focus on the law when this possibly greater risk has to be borne by our military.

David Ramsay, the First American historian who was a president of the Continental congress and friend of Washingtons documents in his book that NBC is the Vattel version, born of citizen parents.

We have the documentation by the founders and Vattel. Natural Born Subject is not mentioned by the founders.
Vattel is the source.

I wonder, would it be illegal for Boy King Huissein Bin Laden to give nukes to Kenya? By executive order, could he do that?

Could he just say he wants to defend his home country, and drop off a pile of nukes? Say in his final year, he knows he will be gone in six months. He could go all out for his home country without fear of impeachment.

Be careful with NS.

Ever since November 3rd he's been seen looking over bridges with a painful, distraught look in his eyes. If he jumps, we could get blamed.

All kidding aside, Could you imagine being Obama on November 3rd?

More than half the country believing he's a Muslim and a Kenyan citizen, and just decimating all his friends, tossing them out of congress. Life is just so unfair.

Even for their sake, he wouldn't show his BC. They must be pissed. What kind of drugs do you think he's on? My guess, its Paxil. Maybe Cocaine.

You must have had some blinding blind-folders on, AS USUAL!

Oh, so you're saying that the military needs to overthrow Obama and take control themselves? The ever popular "we needed to destroy the Constitution in order to save it" scenario?

It isn't lack of cojones that's preventing that, it's intelligence on the part of the military brass.

Vattel knows the difference between LTC Lakin and the Obot servile flatterers.

Of course he does.

In contrary to YOU, Lt.Col. Lakin honors his oath as a serious act and has true character and conviction to honor our CONSTITUTION.

All the way to Leavenworth apparently.

No question N-s you are using that paper in your bathroom for your sorry Ass, and your similar affiliation to that party, and gleefully selling out a fellow soldier. Worse than a Quisling or your potential friend Georges Soros!!!

I'm not selling out anyone. Lakin chose his own path, he made his decision, he can live with the consequences.

Your friend, the pResident has already destroyed the Constitution!

The fact is that the Honduran pResident was trying to circumvent the Honduran Constitution as well and their court asked the military to remove him!!

I don't expect your intellect understanding that YOUR(?) United States is rule by a Shadow Government. But just keep trolling down the Rat hole with your other accomplish-er aka Sororistas!!!

You jumped into the discussion I was having with SatinDoll about senators being expelled from the senate for not being US citizens. You also pinged the posters I was having the discussion with.

You must have wanted in on that discussion, so here we are.

The Governor info was a red herring because the original discussion involved the fact that poster hadn't sourced the expulsion claim and didn't choose to address the info posted from the senate web site that contradicted the expulsion statement.

The governor expulsion example you decided to shove into the discussion is a state issue. Your particular source described a governor expelled for not fulfilling the minimal state residency requirement. The senator expulsion statement had to do with a US citizenship requirement.

I still want the source for the claim that a US senator was expelled from the senate for not being a US citizen. That's the issue being discussed.

I'm not interested in any other info.

Your friend, the pResident has already destroyed the Constitution!

So your goal is to be as bad as he is?

The fact is that the Honduran pResident was trying to circumvent the Honduran Constitution as well and their court asked the military to remove him!!

What clause of the Constitution gives the military the power to overthrow the civilian leadership, regardless of how bad they are? And if no such power exists, how can you advocate violating the Constitution to stop someone from violating the Constitution?

I don't expect your intellect understanding that YOUR(?) United States is rule by a Shadow Government. But just keep trolling down the Rat hole with your other accomplish-er aka Sororistas!!!

Yeah, now you're just being silly.

Your question makes no sense. How does obeying lawful orders conflict with preserving, protecting, and defending the Constitution?

Incredible. You preface your question by making the assumption that the orders are "lawful" in fact. At this point I'm not certain you comprehend this, but if the orders were known to be lawful, no one (including Lt. Col. Lakin) would be having this debate. Everyone else involved in this discussion seems to understand that "obeying lawful orders" is not the conflict being addressed. Why don't you? When the lawful nature of the orders is core to the debate, you can't presume it to be true in-provectus. That is intellectual dishonesty. Assuming you do comprehend this, I have to assume you are not truly interested in the discussion. You are simply here to blather and waste other's time.

Yes, and it is Lakin who is in court, not Hussein.

Speaking of which, I wish I was a member of the jury. Unless courts martial procedures have changed recently, jury members may submit questions to ask of the accused if he previously testified on his personal behalf.

I would ask him if he considered what effect his refusal to deploy would have on the good order and morale of his unit and the US Army. I would ask what constitutional or statutory authority gave him, an officer who must set the example for subordinates, the power to refuse a routine order, to deploy, from his chain of command.

If it was apparent that he wished to be a martyr, I would help him by recommending a lengthy sentence.

Obama and Congress are violating the offense clause in the Constitution. The Law of Nations.

Obama and Congress are violating domestic law e.g. The Law of Nations.

All orders originate from the President. You have been showed this many many times, but you ignore it.

Seems freerepublic allows the Obots to post to keep the discusssions going. That is you only purpose.

You must know Obama is illegal and you must know all orders come from the President.

Why keep up the charade?
