Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann dropped out of the race for House Republican Conference chair on Wednesday night, ensuring that the GOP’s leadership elections will go on without any serious competition.

In a statement sent to a handful of reporters Wednesday evening, the tea party favorite said that Texas Rep. Jeb Hensarling has her “enthusiastic support for his candidacy” for the top messaging post in the GOP.

Real Conservatives... not these beltway rinos that have had an epiphany since November 2.

Jeb Hensarling and the rest of the leadership team are not as outspoken as Michelle, nor as controversial, but they are just as solid conservatives and great leaders.

What was inaccurate?

What was “a odd post”?

I described the situation exactly as I intended to.

Enlighten me.

I hope she made it clear that Hensaerling now owes her a favor, and that she’ll collect. Play the big boys’ game by the big boys’ rules!

Yes, you clearly are rectally challenged.

Or to put it more bluntly, full of $hit.

Gramm’s tricks, little boy, pale in comparison
to those of the current crop of liberal fascists who occupy their seats and continually violate their oaths of office.

Why do you think she dropped out? The reach around progressive Republicans had nothng to do with it, along with their homey’s across the aisle? This battle is just beginning. The Dems do not want her, therefore the reach around Republican boys slapped her down. Thats the way things work in the hooterville which is now the Senate. We will change that in a few short years.

Try dyamite suppositores, pehaps you can avoid being labelled a constipated wannabe freeper.

Must be from your tongue being in there.

Actually, they are all just more of the same. Gramm is globalist, just like the rest of the global socialists of both parties.

It appears that you have adoped my position as your own; its ok, there is enough to go around. But the attack on the conservative wing reps is going to backfire, and likely kill us in 2012. They just didn’t get the correct message from the voters; voters were not embracing the old guard Republicans; They were throwing out the bums.

GOP leadership and beltway types think it’s business as usual

the will craft a sow’s ear from a silk purse

or snatch defeat from the jaws of victory

if we are not careful

Good, so you do support both Bachman and Hensarling against moderate attacks.

Oh, bullshit! Bachmann is showing class and maturity. She realizaes that there are things bigger than her and worth supporting.

Something you and your ilk show try.

I have problems with the entire light bulb fiasco... that needs to die a quick death and Mr H must denounce his mistake. Bachman is a poster woman for conservatism. That is what I think. I have attacked neither... but there are plenty of liberal republicans I want out of office. I attack them with pride. The jury is still out on Mr H... we shall see. Would you not agree?

Very unfortunate. The RINO parade will continue for two years, and then the Republicans will be voted out of office as Obama wins re-election. It’s too bad they immediately began to disregard the message of the Tea Party not a week after the election.

You are full of it! Jeb Hensarling is as conservative as any member up there and has the resp0ect of every Tea Party member I know here in Texas!

Michelle is a GREAT lady and has done the right thing here for which she has only gained MORE respect and admiration!

“The Country Clubbers can run, but they cant hide.”

Yup. Too bad they’re not quick studies. Considering Nov. 2, they should understand that their political careers are tenuous if continuing with the RINO status quo. Apparently, they still don’t get it.

As Rush (I think it was Rush) said after the election, if they don’t come around, they’ll be gone in 2012. Tammy Bruce was even more vocal on the subject.

I wouldnt put Hensarling anywhere near the category of liberal Republicans. I would keep the jury out as to how well he performs this role, the same as I would for Bachman, because neither have had this role before.

I thought the light bulb thing was congressman Upton in Mi.

I don’t know what your post is supposed to mean, was that some sort of support for the anti-tea party/anti-Palin, Mitt Romney supporter, Eric Cantor, and the Scozzafava backing establishment?

Let me explain it, as, much to your disappointment, I am not a "Romnybot". I can't stand him.

Michele Bachmann is a courageous and intelligent person who understands the importance of a unified front to confront the RATS. She and her "opponent" are good friends and colegues. She made a mature choice for the benefit of "our side".

Your comment implying that the Tea Party is getting hosed by the GOP elites indicates a disappointing level of immaturity often demonstrated by "principled conservatives" who would rather concede the field to the RATS and "send a message" than work within the party and compromising to a certain degree.

You and your ilk live in an "all or nothing" world and we all pay repeatedly for your folly and inability to plan and execute a long campaign.

Your posts would be easier to make sense of if you would quit the mind reading attempts, personal insults, and sweeping everyone into your own self created narrow groupings.

I never said that you support Romney, but you are supporting his insider click this time, he has a powerful anti-tea-party/anti-Palin/pro-Romney ally in Eric Cantor, and Cantor won this.

This completed the tea party shut-out, giving the “all or nothing” establishment, a clean sweep, and we will all pay repeatedly for your folly and inability to plan and execute a long campaign.

Yes, you clearly are rectally challenged.

I'm not too sure why I'm being insulted, because until I received your vulgar and accusatory ping, I hadn't commented on this thread or weighed in on this issue.

FWIW, I've been a big Michelle Bachman supporter, and would have been pleased if she had received a leadership post. She's certainly deserving of it.

You, on the other hand, need to be a little more careful before launching into the name calling, FRiend.
