Lucy and Edmund Pevensie return to Narnia with their cousin Eustace where they meet up with Prince Caspian for a trip across the sea aboard the royal ship The Dawn Treader. Along the way they encounter dragons, dwarves, merfolk, and a band of lost warriors before reaching the edge of the world.
Ha. They would never make that movie in today’s climate.
Becuase of the Sarrasins? In America we hunger for the truth. A movie about the nature of the world will sell big, especially when we are all broke of physical assets and only value truth.
I CAN’T WAIT!!!! From what I have read, the focus on this one is to be a bit more like the first Narnia (Witch/Wardrobe) and not aim to be as commercialized as the second one.
Did I just post a thread without putting the correct link? Shame on me! Thank you for the link.
These were my favorite books as a child. I never imagined they would be so wonderful on the screen but when I saw LW&W I turned to my husband and said this is just the way I imagined them when I read the books.
I can not wait for this movie to come out. I hope they do them all.
I never felt Prince Caspian was one of the stronger Narnia books, and I thought it fell pretty flat on the big screen as well.
That said, I really loved “Dawn Treader” and “Horse and his Boy.” Hope to see the latter as well.
LoL..no prob. The video didn’t work for me, so I went to www.narnia.com instead :D
Hope the Dawn Treader is better than the last one..#justsayin
I really enjoy these movies. Looking forward to seeing this one, too.
This looks better than the first trailer.
Does anyone know when it’s due to be released?
They say Christmas.
That would be sweet!! My daughter who’s stationed in Italy will be here! :~D
IMDB shows 10 December 2010.
Whoo-hoooooooo! Can’t wait!
I can’t hope but wish they would do the Magician’s Nephew. I can almost picture a huge cinematic event with the awakening of Jadis, and Charn falling apart as she bashes through doors...and then rampaging through London...ohhhhhhh....I so want to see that! And Strawberry...I want to see him grow wings.
:)
Surely this one will do much better, as its at Christmas and not up against spring blockbusters. The Silver Chair (Treader and Chair are my two fav ones) should be next. Hopefully it does well enough for them to make the others.
The Horse and His Boy is not really in the same series as the Pevensies are barely in the book.
