These were my favorite books as a child. I never imagined they would be so wonderful on the screen but when I saw LW&W I turned to my husband and said this is just the way I imagined them when I read the books.
I can not wait for this movie to come out. I hope they do them all.

I never felt Prince Caspian was one of the stronger Narnia books, and I thought it fell pretty flat on the big screen as well.
That said, I really loved “Dawn Treader” and “Horse and his Boy.” Hope to see the latter as well.

I can’t hope but wish they would do the Magician’s Nephew. I can almost picture a huge cinematic event with the awakening of Jadis, and Charn falling apart as she bashes through doors...and then rampaging through London...ohhhhhhh....I so want to see that! And Strawberry...I want to see him grow wings.

I agree that they got most things right, and the movies have been visually stunning, but one thing that has bothered me about them is that they are too hurried. In the LW&W, for instance, the movie gives the impression that all of the main story happens in about a week, whereas in the book it was over the course of months. Especially when it came to the boys' first main battle, in the movie it seemed ridiculous that they were able to fight after a week in Narnia, whereas in the book, they spent months training.

Me, too. I loved the first one SO much. I want to see The Magician’s Nephew. I always love “seeing” Narnia being created.
