Her impeccable dress sense has been praised throughout the world.
So it was no surprise that Michelle Obama managed to be stylish and show respect to her Muslim hosts when she visited a mosque on her tour of Indonesia.
The First Lady covered her hair with a beige animal-print scarf as she toured Jakarta's Istiqlal Mosque, the largest in southeast Asia.

If Sarah Palin looked and dressed like this, of course the MSM would be calling her chic and a fashionista.
No, I don’t have to say it. Some things are just too obvious.

What would you expect from a First Lady when she visits a place considered holy by her host? That does not mean shes out to convert to Islam or something.... what about donning it as a sign of respect for the religion, nothing more? What would be wrong with politely, in private, declining the invitation? I would tell the president of Indonesia that we will not invite him to attend a church in Washington, D.C. if he visits so as to not offend his Muslim beliefs. The President could always pass the buck and say that he would be okay with going to the mosque but that it might offend many of his Christian supporters back in America.

Why does the search option do that?? It's whacky sometimes I guess.
I've had it fail to find known users, kicks itself into "keyword" mode.. crazy stuff.

The violet-colored shirt hanging out from under the back of her jacket reminds me of the gang-bangers walking around with baggy trousers hanging down to their knees, while holding their crotch. A better description of her attire would be GHETTO CHIC or TACKY CHIC.
She's been called the black Jackie Kennedy by the MSM. Jackie probably vomits in her grave every time someone says that.

I wonder if he smacked her around a bit when nobody was looking. That's crazy talk.
Everyone knows she could whip his butt with one hand and a hangover.

President Barack Obama lied to American, Muslims, and the Sikh community when he said that he would not be visiting a Sikh temple because if he wore the turban there, American redneck xenophobes would accuse him of subscribing to muslim traditions.
He didn't make the effort to go to ANY non-muslim houses of worship. And his wife (who shook hands with a muslim man in violation of that man's religious beliefs) is seen here adopting the “voluntary” muslim headscarf.
So the photos that he claimed he wanted to supress are out there anyway.
The real suspected answer is that wearing the Sikh turban would be offensive to the muslims who consider him one of their own (Qaddaffi has repeatedly said that President Obama is a muslim, and our State Department has offered no correction).

RE: The President could always pass the buck and say that he would be okay with going to the mosque but that it might offend many of his Christian supporters back in America.
Christians are not as “sensitive” as Muslims. As a Christian, I don’t take offense at my President visiting a mosque as long as he does not claim to be a Christian and then pray to some other god.
And let’s say he does pray to some other god, I can simply conclude that he’s not a Christian and does not speak for me.
I don’t go around taking offense at what he does. What he does is between him and God. I can’t speak for him just as he can’t speak for me.

Shoes off as well, I note, though "O" still has his socks on.
Inquiring minds want to know if the First couple washed their feet in the public foot baths, along with other worshipers.

As an occasional reader of the Daily Mail, I can tell you that often this sort of puffery is a clue that the reporter is deliberately exaggerating his praise so as to convey to the reader that he believes the contrary of what is being said.
This allows the Daily Mail to rip certain celebrities and persons of influence without coming out and saying so, and thus becoming part of the story. If the Daily Mail came out and ran a headline: “First Lady a Frightful Frump at Indonesian Mosque” there would be huge blowup. Grotesque, and hence unbelievable flattery accomplishes the same thing, and only fools those who are not in on the joke.
