A nuclear tipped missile launched from a freighter 30 miles off the coast would be immensely effective.

There would be no escape, as the missile would touch down in less than 5 minutes.

Imagine primitive Hiroshima-class devices detonating in downtown Manhattan or in DC, as well as a few other choice east and west coast cities, all within minutes of eachother.

Game over.

Keep in mind his car was rigged with the nuclear switch and codes for this trip.

yeah.... I could, but it would somehow be Bush's fault and the new Republican congress would get blamed.... and of course it would be our fault that the core temperature of the nuke blast cause more global warming. The very first piece of legislation after a nuke strike from our democrats would be to ban the internal combustion engine, set up a fund for union members affected by the ash so they can run triathlons or move to Florida, raise taxes to pay for extending jobless benefits, cut defense spending and offer an apology to the country or religion (amish) that launched the missile.
