An ocean cruise, def.: claustrophobia with a chance of drowning.
And now—aimless drifting while surrounded by sewage stench.
It doesn’t get any better than that! (Unless it’s a `Reason’ or NR cruise and you’re surrounded by libertarians or neo-cons.)

Any idea of the age of this ship? So old that Kathy Lee Gifford used to be their spokesperson.

Actually that is a great idea ... do you think they will need working toilets?

If you have your cigars, something that holds liquor, and a bottle of bourbon, you have a party.
I’d be OK.

No backup generators?? wth
Builders usually park the generators in the engine room.

Carnival is going to to remove the ship from their line because it is not repairable. What is the failure that is so catastrophic that the ship was sea worthy last week and and condemned this week? Wonder what the insurance payoff would be? BTW, How IS Carnival Corp. doing these days?

Apparently no toilet flushing either with the pumps off. That cant be very pleasant...
The seven seas, need no latrines.
Ya just pull down your britches.
And hang your tail over the rail
and defecate on the fishes.

I would imagine they do but it seems somebody could come up with some type of solution for the toilets.
I just hate to see all that potential shelter wasted.

Who wants to be riding a bus through northern Mexico now?
As far as I can tell, the drug cartels own the highways and local law enforcement. Big pucker factor there.

Try "full refund", "travel vouchers to get home", and "FREE Carnival cruise in the future". Carnival already said this.
If they're saying the ship is irreparable, that means the engines are pretty much totally destroyed, as in 'melted/burned beyond repair'. Those engines are huge. You can't just open door on the ship and replace them. The ships are constructed in such a way that in order to replace them, you literally have to cut the ship apart to do so.
Imagine...a two-year-old ship, destined for scrap already. What a waste.

All those asses hanging over the side might be a real hoot.

I’ve only cruised twice, and both times Royal Carib. Carnival always seemd a bit sleazy to me...

Don’t forget the pool. People do it in there all the time anyway. I never go in the pool on a cruise ship.

I wonder if they could anchor it somewhere, and operate it like the Queen Mary as a hotel, to recoup some of the loss.
