I know what you mean. I drive ten minutes to my summer Caribbean cruises!
Its what a lot of Alaskans use in the bush."
This isn't a crowd for the Alaskan bush. There would be a lot of old, dead wussies if cholera got started.
Doesn’t the Oasis have a Broadway show?
Haiti has a cholera outbreak now, and the cruise ships are still going to a private beach there. I would not sign up for that itinerary.
And the plan is to get them to Messico? How is that an improvement? It sounds like a typical Mexican vacation.
The Oasis has Hairspray. Very well done and not a bad choice. My kids enjoyed it and it wasn’t something sappy.
I read that Allure is doing ‘Chicago.’ Fabulous entertainment...
I share your concern and have an upcoming cruise with that routing but that area is an isolated and security controlled peninsula in the far north of the country well away from the outbreak areas. We will see...
I heard “Chicago” too. I am really looking forward to our Allure cruise. It will end on Christmas day and I think our family spending a week together will be a wonderful Christmas. Their ages then will be 21, 18, 15. Cruises are best for multi-generational families, something for everyone to do.
What a choice....a cruise ship with no bathrooms or.....Mexico! UGH!
Well, my Sis & BIL are on a cruise, but they were headed to Panama. This must be in the Pacific.
The Coast Guard deployed a vessel to the scene yesterday, from Alameda California.
I also saw a 722 footer from the Coast Guard (the Bertholf maybe?) in the area on a marine traffic site, not clear if it was there for the incident or just traveling south.
So do the boat owners.
“...and a complimentary cruise in the future.”
LOL! Thanks, but no thanks.
Our own Carnival “adventure” was not nearly so miserable as this, but when our letters of complaint reached the home office, that's what we got back, too - coupons for a free cruise.
It was kind of hilarious for these people to think that we ever wanted to again board one of their stinking cattle pens on the water.

Will the passengers get their welfare debit cards credited back?
Oh.. Ouch
What happened on your Carnival cruise?
That is going to get really ugly.
I'm sure it will be excellent. There is actually something for everyone, of every age. I love the entertainment, and especially, the relaxation. All you have to do is check the daily schedule, get dressed, show up, or just relax.
It's a long story. Mostly a lot of little stuff that added up to feeling like we'd wasted a lot of money for a week in Purgatory.
If you'd like the boring details, I'm happy to share, but don't want to inflict them on an unsuspecting audience.
