Former Governor Mitt Romney has kept a high profile throughout the midterm election season endorsing and fundraising for GOP candidates, an effort that some analysts say has established his position as frontrunner for Republican nomination in 2012. Romney hasnt escaped President Obamas attention and in a CBS 60 Minutes interview last night, Obama compared his health care plan to Romneys and practically announced Romneys candidacy.
Obama weighed the political costs of health care reform and said Republicans didnt cooperate as much as he had hoped they would.
We thought that if we shaped a bill that wasnt that different from bills that had previously been introduced by Republicans, including a Republican Governor in Massachusetts whos now running for President, that we would be able to find some common ground there, said Obama. And we just couldnt.(continued)

Actually, they DO care about intrusive big government programs that take our freedoms away. Don’t kid yourself in anyway that Mitt can be nominated and not anchored with the precursor to Obamacare. They used the MASS law as a test study for it nationally!

Former Governor Mitt Romney has kept a high profile throughout the midterm election season endorsing and fundraising for GOP candidates That's news to me. Sarah was highly visible. So was Jim DeMint. So, in a negative way, was Karl Rove. But I can't say that Mitt Romney was "high profile" during most of this election campaign, except maybe in Taxachusetts.

Sounds like Obama is positioning Mitt to be his Vice Presidential running mate in 2012...
And Mitt would do it.

You know, I would have a teensy more respect for Romney had he simply admitted Romneycare was a failure but he implemented under the guise of Federalism. But the clown didn't even do that. He defended it and now it's going to bite him in the booty.

A clear sign Obama would love to run against Romney —”my health plan is better than your health plan.” A pox on both their houses!!!!!

“Actually Obama, the tea party doesnt care a whit about Romneys healthcare or yours. But the difference is the Romney care is in one state who has the right to decide what they want. Obamacare is not of that model. Instead it follows the dictatorial, unconstitutional model.”
I agree this is a critical difference. States should have the authority to decide what they want. This is the strength of our union. If I don't want to live with the laws of my State, I can choose from 49 others. This is antithetical to what Obama wants. Obama actively fights this concept on every front, even to the extent of suing entire States (Arizona).

"Former Governor Mitt Romney has kept a high profile throughout the midterm election season..." Huh? I heard of exactly ONE candidate who Romney endorsed AFTER he won his primary bid. High profile, my Aunt Fannie's fanny. I barely heard a peep out of Mitt during the last few months.
Compare what Mitt did during the congressional campaign season to Sarah's output. Not even close.
The media wants him to be the Republican nominee for 2012, and now even Obama's getting in on the act. Pathetic.

Yes, and if I had to guess and FWIW it has to do with the recent polls that show Romney is polling higher than all comers in 2012.

I cant believe hes dragging Romney into that mess, although Romney has nothing to be proud of, his plan is certainly to where near the pile of crap that Pelosi and Nobama shoved down our throats. Hogwash. The two plans are virtually the same.
Obama is just jealous because in addition to socialized medicine, Romney managed to push through a permanent "assault" weapons ban, taxpayer-funded abortions with a $50 co-pay, completely homosexualized the public schools, and used his executive power to unconstitutionally and unlawfully institute homosexual marriage.
Romney is still the all-time liberal champ. And the more accomplished prevaricator.
