Members of Students Organizing for America, a group of students aligned with the Democratic Party, may face a criminal investigation and possible felony charges after confrontations with an election judge over voter vouching during Tuesdays election. Ginny Gelms, the interim elections director in Minneapolis, said she will submit a report to the Hennepin County attorneys office and the Minnesota Secretary of States office today. The offices will investigate a possible incident of improper vouching. Gelms said she was told by the University Lutheran Church precincts chair election judge there were two incidents of individuals trying to vouch for people they did not personally know. Vouching is a way to prove residence for on-site registration on Election Day. If someone doesnt have a proper form of ID or a bill with their current name and address on it, a voter registered in the same precinct may sign an oath that they personally know that the individual is a resident of the precinct.

Is it any wonder why we got Weird Al Senator or why Dims always fight against voter ID here in MN?
For now, anyway. I am hopeful for some major changes to voting law once Governor Walker is sworn in

The non-taxpaying, Girls Gone Wild crowd is destroying our country with their childish and sophomoric antics. It would be nice to see some of them finishing their schooling at the Iron Bar University. Voting is not supposed to be a joke. There are a lot of us out here who take it seriously.
“I’d like to vouch for that van full of people. They are all my neighbors. Yep. yeah sure, youbetcha.”
You think that is bad? In Oregon where they have only mail in ballots, the official can “correct” a ballot or even throw it out and fill out a new one based on how THEY think you meant vote.
Hang ‘em high!
I have argued for the last ten years that an investigation of the voting pattern of University of Arizona students should be conducted. A sample of, say, 400 students should be taken to determine if they vote in Arizona, and if they also vote in their home county; or if they are an out-of-state student, whether they vote in two states at once. My own feeling, based on anecdotal evidence is that more than 10% of students are involved in double voting. In case that seems picayune, imagine 80,000 students in the system. Multiply that by all the states and there is a real problem. States should pass laws that state a student found voting in two jurisdictions will lose the right to vote in that state. That should stop some of the funny business perpetrated (especially in Social Science departments).
I despise MN... I know that there are good people living there but their government is evil. Remind me again... what rino is governor there?
LLS
Yup. No states are more corrupt than Washington, Oregon Nevada and Oregon. All four states should be minutely examined for vote fraud, and possibly forced to hold a special election. No more vote by mail! No ballots given without ID! No more manipulated computer ballot counts!
We still have the Soros-backed SOS here from 2008.
If anything, he’ll be getting high.
I meant to say California, Nevada, Washington and Oregon!
Can you please link to this somewhere or give me a way to research it? Thank you very much!
I USED to live in Oregon, it really has gone to Hell.
It is the case in WI. All you need is a utility bill and someone to say s/he knows you. Once, in line waiting to vote, I watched a phony prospective voter go down the line asking people to vouch for him. The fourth person said yes. It is very disheartening.
That stinks. CO is faltering too.
Vote fraud is a de facto coup d’état. It’s treason against the citizenry.
Violators should be tried and if found guilty, put to death. Persons whom turn in someone who are found guilty should be given monetary bounties.
it wouldn’t take long to gringo it to a halt.
I feel this way because once the citizenry discover that the ballot box does not work they will turn to violence and assassination. It’s a story as old as man.
I thought immediately of Mel Brook's film: Blazing Saddles -
Hedly Lamarr was recruiting villains to destroy (do a ‘Number 6’) on Rockridge.
Hedly: “Qualifications?”
Prospective Villain: “Rape, arson burglary and rape.”
Hedly: “You said rape twice?!!”
Prospective Villain: “I like rape!”
Hedly: “Kinky!”
That is the case in WI. I think it’s stupid. Anybody can vote here.
Somebody else today proposed that we seize this opportunity to initiate photo ID and purge the voter rolls. Everybody has to re-register before the next election. Other states even double check signature, but I don’t know how they arrange that. They do NOTHING in WI, and the people running the elctions actually are in jeopardy of jail and a fine if they challenge a voter and they turn out to be wrong.
When a person is voting, you have a split second to identify and report somebody trying to vote illegally. What is the chance that you may make a mistake, thus exposing yourself to a fine and/or jail? It’s safer to look the other way.
That would be ethanol pimpin’ Guv T-Paw.
