A popular new law that bars Oklahoma courts from considering Islamic law, or Shariah, when deciding cases was put on hold Monday after a prominent Muslim in the state won a temporary restraining order in federal court.
Two state legislators were quick to blast the judge's ruling and the Oklahoma attorney general, who they said did not stand up to support the new law.

And who is this "prominent Muslim" who just "happens" to live in Oklahoma. How IS it that we seem to have Muslims in EVERY state these days, huh? Just a few years ago, you never saw any Muslims outside a few cities.

I have a HS classmate who now lives in OK. Told me last Tuesday that OK went solid conservative, even against Obamacare. She loves the state..except for the winters.
I think we have some Judges that need to be disbarred, and have their license to be stripped from them. This is perhaps the most basic tenent of the US Constitution’s First Ammendment.
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
All the Oklahoma law sought to do was to ensure that Sharia law was not enacted as a religous law, either superceding or replacing the existing rule of law.

In 2012 we need to preserve the gains in the house, clean up the senate and retake the POTUS. We have made great strides in the state houses around the country and now we have to finish the job. This type of mis step by the left will only help in the long run. EDUCATE! EDUCATE! EDUCATE! especially the young voters. We need their passion. We need the blacks to vote with us and we need more of the female (they and the seniors are what put us over the top).
This is about preserving our country.

If Sharia law places women subordinate to men, no judge can use that as the basis of a decision because it violates the Equal Protection amendment in the Constitution.

Then they will block a prohibition on the application of Muslim religous law.
