Benzodiazepines like Valium, Xanax, Atavan would be like spitting in the ocean to treat this Social path.
They would probably only be used as co therapy or to take the sharp edges off more potent pharmaco therapy.
If he is on something legal, it would probably be one of the newer antidepressants and a major tranquilizer. Benzodiazepines might also be given to help him sleep.
JFK with his Addison’s disease and other disease states often was a semi walking full pharmco life form due to the various potent treatments he got.
The question re legal drugs or street drugs is a valid one with this whack job. If he is using illegal drugs, benzodiazepines can be used to help him come down from highs and in between use of illegal drugs.

If there were ever a candidate for self-medicating he is that candidate. His Chicago buddies surround him and everything can be obtained. “It’s the Chicago Way.” Those same folks would also know when the tipping point has been reached and one of them might be the ‘leaker.’

The R’s need to block every single thing the Dems do, defund everything they have done, and investigate every single bit of wrongdoing the administration has done until the Dems and 0bastard in particular feel that a thorough colonoscopy without any anesthetic would be a welcome relief.
I did not say they should not block him on new legislation, defund and attempt to overturn programs or investigate illegal activity such as the New Black Panther voter intimidation case. We should however stay out of the internal dem conflict and let them bring him down.
We do not need to carry Hillary’s water and then take the blame while she waltzes away unscathed and into the White House.
We do not have the votes in the Senate to evict him even if we impeached him in the House. It would be Clinton redux and the American people would blame the Republicans for wasting time and money just like they did with Gingrich. Hillary wants to be president, let her work her machinations to get him out of the way. We concentrate on the economy, jobs and other things to strengthen our case to the American people in 2012.

I remember well the beginning of the Clinton/Lewinsky Scandal. In the first few days liberal media and pundits were predicting Clinton would resign in a few weeks.
But soon they circled the wagons. And when the dust settled we were told...”Character doesn't matter.” We were told we could only judge Clinton on his effectiveness as an executive. If his wife didn't care why should we.
