I’m sure Obama thinks a “Robin Hood Tax” is a capital idea, but I think even he isn’t dumb enough not to realize that he’d be crucified politically if he went along with it.
I never have been a subscriber to the “Odumbo” group. He knows exactly what he is doing and what his strategy of TRANSFORMING AMERICA is.
Katrina vanden Heuvel is a Marxist. Period.
The rich in those days, beyond the king, were the “government” so technically you are both correct.
“Robin Hood Tax” is an oxymoron. Robin Hood robed the tax collectors and gave back to the tax payers.
I don’t buy off on the underlying premise that the debt can or should be paid off. Why should Americans work themselves to death to pay a debt owed to the chinese communists and saudis? One that in most instances they had no part in accumulating.
If my drunk neighbor down the street chooses to spend himself into the poorhouse, I’m not responsible for his debts. So why am I then responsible for the debts of those drunk on power in DC
“The socialists realize that socialism is dead unless it can suck the blood of the remaining productive economies.”
I no longer see the financiers as representative of productive economies. They are a club onto their own whose machinations predominantly benefit their own, instead of raising capital as they once did for real and productive enterprise that benefits the country and economy.
Wall St is mostly a casino of thieves where money changes hands and deals are made and huge compensation is paid yet it benefits no one except the players. Yeah I’d favor taxing WS transactions by the USA (not UN) and invest the money in USA infrastructure which would come back and benefit the economy. Wall St has already taxed us too much via taxpayer bailouts and Fed Reserve. It should come back to rebuild the USA instead of going to China etc.
I strongly favor protecting our sovereignty and throwing out so-called UN treaties that diminish our sovereignty.
Do you have some disease that makes you incontinently shriek insults every so often?
Britain isn’t behind this tax initiative. In fact it would be the single greatest threat to her financial industry.
Sounds a lot like the Stamp Act to me . . .
Don’t these fools have anyone in their internationalist organization who knows American & British history?
Banging their tin cups whining for economic justice.
It's like socialism/communism. It's never worked, so try it again. Maybe this time the "right" people will be in charge.
Got to check my ammo supply...
