Congressman-elect Allen West (R-Fla.) said he plans to join the Congressional Black Caucus next year.
West, one of two black Republicans elected to Congress in Tuesday's election, said he plans to join the Democratic-dominated bloc, to challenge, in West word's, the CBC's "monolithic voice."
"I plan on joining, I'm not gonna ask for permission or whatever, I'm gonna find out when they meet and I will be a member of the Congressional Black Caucus and I think I meet all of the criteria and it's so important that we break down this 'monolithic voice' that continues to talk about victimization and dependency in the black community," West said on WOR radio.

Now this deserves a comment from me. It is about time the AARs (African American Republicans)take a stand and influence those groups that do not help the cause of their communities.
I love Allen West. Anyone want to start a pool on which CBC member he performs the first mock execution on? :-)
I wish him well but..., the CBC Dims will probably conduct their REAL business in secret...
Let's face it, being a Conservative/Republican black is a lonely perch. Be thankful that West is more than up to the task and will succeed!!!
It will drive them nuts.
“What do you want to bet they wont let him in?
Then he should file a Federal racial discrimination lawsuit against the Congressional Black Caucus! That ought to shut their pie-holes up and rock their world!”
Congress exempted itself from anti-discrimination laws.
I wonder why it is called the Congressional Black Congress, and not the Congressional African American Congress...
It should be called the ‘Congressional Red Caucus’.
They’ll change it to the Democratic Black Congressional Caucus, and deny him entry.
I'm looking forward to his monthly newsletter on what goes on in there. (Can you imagine?)
Go get em Colonel West, teach them socialist parasites what real Men are made!
My screen name is 12 years old. Not a good time here.
Right on!!! I would LOVE to be there when Col. West walks through the door of the caucus meeting!!!
Certainly it would be worth the price of admission ;)
