Muslim hate preacher Abu Hamza allowed to keep British passport

The radical cleric argued that such a move would render him "stateless" as he had already been stripped of his Egyptian citizenship.

In his ruling, Mr Justice Mitting said: "We are satisfied on balance of probabilities that if a deprivation order were to be made, the appellant (Hamza) would be made stateless.

Hamza, 52, was jailed for seven years in February 2006 for inciting murder and race hate.

He is in Belmarsh Prison as he challenges attempts to extradite him to the US on terror charges.

That case was delayed by the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg in July, which called for further submissions over the length of his sentence and the conditions he would experience if extradited to ADX Florence, a so-called "supermax" prison in Fremont County, Colorado.

Stupid ruling, but actually academic.

As Britain is still going ahead with deportation, all this is a technical exercise by Hamza to try and delay the inevitable.

...but Geert Wilders was banned from the UK.

Take the women and children out of the country and nuke the site from orbit. Turn it over, the UK is done.

Yeah, whatever. Just as we were done in 1815, 1914, 1940, 1979 and 1982.

And Geert Wilders has been allowed into Britain, as the new govt overturned the Labour govts decision.

Once again, the English law outdoes itself.
Now, in the hierarchy of proof, we have ‘beyond a reasonable doubt’, then ‘clear and convincing’, then ‘preponderance of the evidence’, and now the ‘balance of probabilities’.
English law is now scrawled in sand.

Seems you are correct. Apologies.

There certainly was talk over the summer of the Tories rescinding bans on Savage. And Wilders has been allowed here, so I am bemused as to why Cameron hasnt taken Savage off the list.

I am not losing sleep over this clown not being allowed here, only ‘supporting’ him as a matter of principle.

You're next.

Great Britain will be an Islamic state in 10 years.

Oh, please stop this hysterical nonsense.

Muslims are 3 per cent of the entire British population, and thats including all white and black/mixed race converts, and nominal ie non practising but Muslim by birth/family.

We are not going to become a Islamic state. 10 years from now or ever.

Why is it you lot are more hysterical about us going Moozlim than we are?. Couldnt be because we ARE British and know exactly what will happen better than people who get their idea of Britain from FR?.

Got Sharia Law?

Sharia Law exists in five English cities. None in Scotland, Wales, NI, Isle of Man, the Channel Islands.

It is a civil law used mainly for legal arbitration in business disputes which legally cannot trump English law (Arbitration Act of 1996). It is in fact no different to the Jewish Beth Din law which has been in Britain for oevr 100 years.

And there are NO plans to extend it beyond the five trial cities, in fact the Tories publicly states that they would not extend it, and they of course now make up most ot the Coalition govt.
