A Transportation Security Administration worker who pretended to find drugs in a passenger's bag at Philadelphia International Airport in January had played the prank more than once and told one of his victims that "she would have to admit it was funny," according to TSA documents.
The documents, which detail the dopey antics of a bomb-appraisal officer whose name has been blacked out, were released on the Smoking Gun website this week.
The Inquirer broke the story of Rebecca Solomon, 22, who on Jan. 5 became the unsuspecting butt of the officer's joke when he pretended to find a white, powdery substance in her luggage.

there is a serious need for TSA authority and all it’s “principles” including and investigation of Janet Reno Homeland Security. As Americans we should not have to put up with this crap

It’s already stressful being groped by government paid home predators.
It ain’t funny and the agent needs to be fired.
No different than a cop planting drugs and laughingly saying it was a prank.
It’s not a prank. It is an act under color of law.

Well he’s gone, but some stupid law forbids the Feds from saying whether he quit or was fired.

The TSA staff in Philadelphia are among the worse in the nation. Some travelers I know think many of them are reprobates.
The baggage inspection area is populated with petty thieves. sometimes, when an inspector sees something they think is valuable or useful, whether or not it is contraband, the inspector will open the bag and with impunity, remove the item. Of course, you don't know this until you get to your destination and open your bag.
My wife and I are anxious and fearful when we need to travel through the Philadelphia airport.
Thank you Moron Minetta.

so, no, there will be no firingThey'll probably give him a new job at the customer service counter at a post office at higher pay. Then he can continue his hobby of messing with white folks.
"Excuse me, sir, this here box 1/16" too long, so we cain't be shippin it. Y'all go on home now and put in a diffren box. Or I can sell you a goot box foe $14.95, $4.95 foe a label, and we can wrap it securely foe $29.95. An if you doan have a pen to fill out the label, we can rent you one foe $2.95. Wassa matter? The agent should pay the same penalty that the innocent person would have paid. The same jail time. The same fine. The same life-long felony status. No excuses.
To: george76
That was supposed to be funny? What a sick sense of humor.

I quit flying about five years ago. I just made a 13 hour trip by car and wondered if I should have flown. Between the stress of airports and idiots like this I will continue to drive.

It is presumed under federal law that there is no joking with TSA agents - all statements will be taken seriously, even if they are “obviously” made in jest. But apparently not the other way around.
