I do not respect ANYBODY that is NOT pro life! If that offends anybody that is their problem! Am I not entitled to my opinion?

I was being honest! I have had great respect for GW Bush, have never said a word against him ever. Yes just in this case I was quick to believe what I heard, mostly because I have heard no denial up until now about what he supposedly said about Sarah.First report of this was in 2009

Apparently he just told Oprah (who I have zero respect for) that “you betcha I will support her” so I may have been to quick to believe...I wait for the denial on Hannity Tuesday night.

As for Laura? She just recently told the world that she is NOT pro life. As stated I have ZERO respect for ANYBODY that is NOT pro life.

Last time I checked this board allowed honest opinions.

I know that this is bothering you, but if he NEVER said that
about Sarah...and if it’s all rumors...then WHY would he have
to deny it? It would be foolish of him to deny something he
never said in the first place.

Just sayin’..........

I don’t think he’d EVER say something like that about a fellow
candidate. He’s never been an unkind or negative person.

What in the world made you think I thought otherwise? I relish the back and forth that goes with discussing things with others who have different opinions than I do.

You are most certainly entitled to whatever opinion you have of Laura Bush. (I was referring to some very vile things said about her, not related to anything you have said).

I think there was a misunderstanding here, Friend.

You might try responding to what a poster actually says rather than attack the whole universe beyond what they said.

I said Laura never led anyone to believe she was a conservative. Therefore anyone who only recently discovered this about her and became recently disappointed in her has been clueless about her all along.

Why should anyone set themselves up for disappointment about Laura? Her life has been an open book for all to see. She lives a personally conservative life - she carried two babies while being so ill with the pregnancy she was hospitalized in Dallas (lived in Midland, so W had to commute to be with her), when she could’ve had an abortion.

Unfortunately she came from a Democrat family and from a religiously liberal denomination that officially supports Roe v Wade. Therefore she supports abortion rights even though she refused to have one at her own risk.

This has been knowable about her from the get go.

She was, however, wonderfully suited to the role of First Lady.

People who disagree with her on some things nevertheless agree on her superb tenure in the WH for 8 years.

You can respect or disrespect anyone you choose. Doesn’t bother me a bit.

What is ludicrous is to ignore the known facts about someone and then proclaim your “woe is me” disappointment in them when you finally face the reality that was there all along.
