Ex-President George W. Bush rips wisdom of Barack Obama, Sarah Palin and John McCain to friends

WASHINGTON - Two years of retirement haven't dulled George W. Bush's political zest - and President Obama and Sarah Palin are among his under-the-radar targets.

The 43rd President has told friends the ex-Alaska governor isn't qualified to be President and criticizes Arizona Sen. John McCain for putting Palin on the 2008 GOP ticket and handing her a national platform.

"Naming Palin makes Bush think less of McCain as a man," a Republican official familiar with Bush's thinking told the Daily News.

"He thinks McCain ran a lousy campaign with an unqualified running mate and destroyed any chance of winning by picking Palin."

McVain’s campaign was DOA until Sarah Palin came on the scene.

I don’t know what GW may or may not have said but this unsourced article smacks of .... Karl Rove.

No, Mr Bush, it was the GOP geniuses who put forward the worst possible candidate at the head of the ticket. That and 8 long years of you, Sir, making no effort at all to counter the barrage of lies and distortions the demicrackheads, along with their rabid allies in the media, spewed 24/7.

Then there was that convenient economic melt down when $500,000,000,000 was pulled out of the market in Sept 2007. McCain killed any chance he had with his stupid grandstanding then supported another stupid move.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!! GW sounds like he has been toking on Barry’s pipe.

We will see two years of incessant newspaper stories against the person that the left fears most, Governor Palin.

They will literally do anything to see her stopped, no matter how silly.

It's of no matter. She will make a fine president, and I am looking forward to her inauguration in 2013.

Bush wasn’t a bad President. However for many reasons I was disappointed when he originally got the nomination...

...I had forgotten that up to now.

Slightly off topic:

Wasn't there some kind of primary funny business which contributed to McCain being selected?

Same media that hid a tidbit on Ted Kennedy for years.

After his death it became more well known that Ted liked to hear, and then collect, Chappaquidic jokes.

"a Republican official familiar with Bush's thinking told the Daily News."

In other words, their source is a two-bit carny mind reader.

Sarah Palin was the ONLY reason I voted for McCain. Palin is more qualified than any Bush was or ever will be. I always despised the Bushs. The whole clan are a bunch of New England blue-blooded elitist mushy moderate yankee pukes. They disgust me almost as much as that pathetic and cowardly abortionist named Mitt Romney.

I believe as the publisher of this article IS the uncredible (IMO) NY Daily News, and there are no sources referenced by the “journalist” that this article is bullshit.

We will see two years of incessant newspaper stories against the person that the left fears most, Governor Palin.

Much like the 10 years+ of trashing President Bush, which continues unabated here at FR. If the "left" fear Sarah, they must have been absolutely mortified by President Bush.

They will literally do anything to see her stopped, no matter how silly.

"They" did the same, and worse, to President Bush and it worked like a charm. Expect it to continue. No need to discontinue a perfect strategy which works so well.
