Huckabee is enough to gag a maggot. (I don’t mean that in a BAD way, of course.) Romney is a RINO extraordinaire. Of the three, Palin is best, but I think a candidate will appear on the horizon who’ll have a better chance of winning.

Is there a discernible difference between Huckabee and Grahamnesty other than the spelling of their names? sd

I recommend we all use the following tagline until Mitt Romney is no longer a factor...

“Who, in their right mind would elect a freshman senator who hasn’t finished his first term and only served in his state’s legislature.. uh ... oops, nevermind.....”

Absolutely the best post of the day! Thanks for the laugh.

Where in the world is Rasmussen getting his pool of Republicans to come up with Myth and the Huckster in the top 2 out of 3?

New Hampshire and Iowa?

If this poll has any credibility, the “big government”/nanny state Republicans didn’t learn anything from Tuesday’s election and our fight against them is obviously just getting underway.

“It all comes down (IMHO) as to which of these candidates has shown they have the BIGGEST COJONES in taking on the socialist agenda!”

That’d be Sarah!

“No no no no no, not happening. The CONSERVATIVES will pick their own...”

How will we conservatives be able to do this? DH and I were griping that when it comes to the presidential nomination, it’ll be the GOP good-ol’-boy network who’ll make the choice — as always. How can we be sure that doesn’t happen? In elections, we have a vote; when it comes to a party’s nomination, the establishment RINO stuffed shirts decide. We have to find a way to highjack the process to avoid another Bush 41, Dole, etc.

I didn’t say it was a fool-proof approach - and yours is a good cautionary comment.

“How will we conservatives be able to do this?”

I’m not sure how this is done, or if there is a correct way. But being a novice I would suggest we draft our choice and rally behind her, maybe? Then stand our ground when the screeching begins.

But never back down and don’t give ammo to the RNC with our hard-earned money.

We desperately need some more choices. I would take Romney, Huckabee or Palin over 0bama in a heartbeat, but being better than 0bama is not saying much.

I keep having flashbacks to 1994 and 1996. After the 1994 Republican blowout, no one thought that Clinton could get elected dog catcher in 1996. Then the Republicans went and nominated Bob Dole.

You are cracked.

Mutt Wrongly better not run. He will be a laughing stock before his candidacy goes down in flames bigger than the Hindenburg.

***Then the Republicans went and nominated Bob Dole.***

Bob Dole was a decorated war hero - a reputation that used to mean something. From 1950 he began a career as an elected official.

Noteworthy: Dole flatly rejected the health care plan of Bill Clinton, remarking, “There is no crisis in health care.”

Another decent man decimated by the media.

I’m with you on Pence and/or Rubio.......and Rubio is one heck of a bright man and would help with the Latino vote.

Palin Rubio
Palin DeMint
Palin Pence

As of now, Palin has as much chance of winning the general election as I do of being meritoriously promoted to Colonel tomorrow.....not happening.

Bob Dole was not just “Decimated by the media”.

He never met a tax increase he didn't like, and his own voting record slaughtered him among yuppies and young professionals at the time.

There was also the royal B1tch he was married to, who as chairmen for the red cross at the time of the Oklahoma City bombing had taken donations given specifically for the families of the victims (The Red Cross ran adds soliciting said earmarked donations) and sold same to enrich the Red Cross general operating fund. When that came to light she defiantly refused to make things right - and Folks in the plains states didn't forget.

Then there was the backstabbing deal where the RNC refused to let other candidates in in the New York primary. Harry Reid like corruption didn't play well with a large section of the base.

Dole lost because he was an untenable candidate.
