A source close to Eric Cantor tells CNN that the Republican congressman will announce his intention to run for House majority leader at 10:45 a.m. in a written statement.

Good news.
No one should be the ‘presumptive’ [it’s my turn, it’s my turn] in either the House or Senate.
Pence has already said he's stepping down from any GOP leadership spot. Is it because he's going to run for governor? Or is it because he knows Cantor and Boehner better than we do?
I hope, and I’m sure you hope, you’re proven wrong. Saying he wants to roll back the health care ‘monstrocity’ is a good start. He may not be able to undo the law, but he can certainly lead the charge on defunding it through appropriations.
Yeah! One of ours!
To all those here thinking this is a challenge to Boehner, it isn’t. Boehner will be Speaker of the House. Majority Leader is the head of the Republican caucus in the House.
Boehner will be the Speaker of the House
Cantor will be the Majority Leader
this was never in doubt if the Rs took the House
DITTO very good, Boehner looks like a worn out drunk.
What about Michele Bachmann?
Didn’t he take the place of Dennis Hassert? Why in the heck am I confusing everything. I feel like this is my first day on FR....I need to get a grip on this House of Representatives STAT!
Who the heck is Cantor. I’d rather have Michelle Bachman.
Bachmann is talking about her ‘Constitutional Conservative Caucus’ on Beck’s radio show right now...that is something we should be keeping our eye on...Boehner, Cantor, meh...Bachmann sounds like she is trying to get something done.
LOL. Boehner is still going to be Speaker of the House. Why do so many people fail to understand what the role of the Majority leader is?
Pence is playing it smart and will be the “fall-back” Speaker.
I think Pence has other things in mind.
Great! Get rid of the old do-nothing guard Bohner!
He didn’t always lay low. He had some powerful speeches and led his whole caucus to vote against health care. He was a good minority leader. Remember him dropping the 2000 page bill on the floor? He’s a good man. They will try to destroy him; but, if he can stand, I think he will be effective. He’s starting out good.
I prefer Paul Ryan over Pence, Cantor, or Boner.
Unfortunately for the GOP elites I have a long memory ...
:)
That blubberfest speech last night from Boehner was lame.
I’ll cut him some slack this time but expect much better communicating. Trouble is I’m not so sure he is capable of it but he’s a huge upgrade over the looney leftist queen P.
