We'll see what happens here.
Where are you getting those numbers?
CA Secretary of State website reported as of 1:40AM:
HARMER 75250 48.1%
McNERNEY 72889 46.6%
Results Here:

I saw one race that only had a 3 vote difference. This one’s too close for comfort!
That’s better!
The NYT web site and politics daily have more current data, they have all night. The Calif SOS is putting its results on a PDF, so that’s taking more time and means their results are running behind.
Disgusting. This is my district. Harmed had a 2-3000 vote lead from the get go until like 83% then poof gone just like that. What BS.
It’s now a 23 vote lead.
Your vote might end up being the difference.
Well for sure it will get a recount and we know how that goes. I’m wondering where we lost a few k votes in one fell swoop? Alameda county has 100% reported in on this race already.
There will be a recount.
Of course, but I’d rather go into a recount ahead rather than behind.
the wave does not make it to the Left coast
Still 23 vote lead with 98% so the bleeding stopped...and Alameda is spoken for so that’s good news at least.
Most outstanding votes are from Santa Clara County. Looks bad for David.
GOP will try again in 2 years, after the District has been un-gerrymandered, after 300,000 Green Jobs have magically materialized, and after the purple unicorns have shat Skittles all over this sorry State.
I forgot this: [/s]
No, but after watching Jerry Brown’s speech, I could only think of one thing: another recall petition.
United States Representative District 20 81.6% Reporting Name Party Votes Jim Costa DEM 23,516 49.1% Andy Vidak REP 24,317 50.9%
Once the state goes bankrupt, how many of those people working on these “Green Jobs” will take an IOU for their paycheck?
Costa has pulled ahead by about 280 votes now.
I can’t wait until they are begging the new House for a bailout - yes, but with austerity measures attached :)
