I can’t wait until they are begging the new House for a bailout - yes, but with austerity measures attached :)
But think about this, right now there are 19 Republicans in the California delegation.
The Republicans have the majority by 21 votes.
That means if they come and ask for the money. They will have to allow all 19 of the Rep to vote for it, and everyone else to vote against it. So that these Republicans will have cover for their re-election.
We have just barely enough votes to pull this off.
