Here we go....currently she would need 90% of the write ins to count for her to win.

Wonder what would have happend if the Senate Rinos didn't coddle her after the primary....

He still may win. His percentage is guaranteed his. Lisa’s write-in’s may be shared with the other 100 people on the ballot. Joe might win by a sliver.

I hope Miller has some strong precincts that have yet to be counted.

If the Senate and the NRSC would have coalesced around him it wouldn’t be close. Mitch McConnel and John Cornyn are loving this....

If she wins this it would be incredible. I mean not since the 40’s has anyone accomplished this. She stinks as a candidate but it appears that Alaskans want he in Washington to represent them.

I hate to say it but I doubt any one else got any significant number of write ins, I think we have to assume almost all the write ins are for Murkowski.

Me too - this is a race I would really like to see go his way - Murkowski is a real piece of work.

Some of the write-ins may even be for Joe Miller since he did list himself as one. Wouldn’t that be a hoot.

how many votes are outstanding?....I would imagine that Anchorage and Fairbanks have already reported ....

I hope and hope and hope that a good number of people wrote down joe Miller as a write in...

knowing Cowski, she would sue because Miller is too common of a name....

Just read this at the LA Times:

http://www.latimes.com/news/politics/la-pn-miller-murkowski3-20101103,0,2439851.story

If the race remains close, the outcome could remain unknown until as long as Nov. 18. Counting the bulk of about 42,000 absentee ballots won’t begin until Nov. 9, and individual scrutiny of write-in ballots would commence after those are counted, said Gail Fenumiai, head of the state Division of Elections.

Let’s not forget that Joe’s name is also a write in, so its possible some may have written his name in as well.

I hate this Lisa person. She deserves everything that comes her way, and I don’t mean that in a positive way.

150+ write in candidates. People probably voted for weird people on the list just to cause trouble. Moocowski could lose 10% on these write ins and the incorrect ballots. This will be a mess for weeks.

Maybe they could have done better, but NRSC did back Joe Miller with money and ads.

http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0910/41920.html

What they didn;t do was attack Murkowski - they were clearly hedging their bet a bit, but I don't think you can blame their lack of support.

Yes, I heard Palin say the same thing last night on FOX, so was braced for a close race to go long. I’m nearly sure she said December was possible because of villages 100 miles from groceries!

McAdams is out of the running, so this seat stays in the Republican column either way.

let me see if I get this straight.....so far about 70% or precints have reported, and the write ins are "winning" and Miller is second and the rat in third...

but there is also 42,000 absentee votes to count.....

so we have 30% more from the precints and we have the absentee....and then we get to count the write ins....

that sound about right?
