We knew this. I’m more concerned about Kasich. I think he can pull it off, though. He was up at least 4% I think.

So much for Obama’s 478 visits to Ohio...

Sweet. Let’s hope the Buckeye Republican wave covers the whole state.

"portman wins ohio"

So, should we laugh, or cry. There "are" those of us, not from Ohio, who have no ideal who the heck "portman" might be. A bit more background would be helpful when making a posting such as this, like whether he's Republican or Democrat, running for House, Senate, or Governor.

Portman is a Republican running for Senate to replace Voinovich. A big improvement over V.

Rob’s a great guy! Not to boast but I was featured on his Congressional website for a long time. It was a troop visit and he was shaking me hand when they took the photo.

AMEN!! I wish I had a nickel for every post on FR these past few weeks that has named a politician without specifying the party affiliation (or sometimes even the race). Sorry to be ignorant, but I want to know whether the bit of news I’m being shown is being applauded or lamented.

NYT has maps for Senate/House/Governor. It is looking very red so far.

Google is our friend, but are you seriously suggesting that we should Google every time we see a post like this? I suppose your time is more valuable than ours. So sorry.

Bingo. You touched on a pet peeve of mine as well. If the poster can't take the time to post context then they have no business posting or the post should be deleted by the mods.
