Actually, I don’t find the exit polls too terribly impressive. For the massive wave, I would have expected to see better.

Exit polls way off in 2000. Exit polls were waaaay off in 2004. And I believe the exit polls were off in 2006 showing the Dem leads farther than they got.
Two words people, EXIT POLLS. They mean NOTHING, they only ‘loosely’ indicate trends. This is good news for the trends but there are still hours of counting left.
It says 50+ and 7+. What is being reporting is the minimum. The word only never appears.

We lost the expectation game a long time ago. Anything less than a tsunami will be a disappointment. That might have been the game all along.

“Only” doesn’t really fit with the “+” after the 50 and the 7.
