LAGOS, Nigeria -- U.S. civil rights leader Rev. Jesse Jackson called Tuesday for an African version of the Marshall Plan, saying the continent deserved reconstruction and assistance, similar to that given to postwar Europe, after the years of "colonial rape" it suffered.

Colonial rape of land and populace by Socialist dictators engaging in war with other tribes.
I absolutely agree that Jesse Jackson should pay to repair and reconstruct Africa.
Like Rhodesia? So badly raped by evil colonial Britain that it became the breadbasket of Africa?
Thank God Mugabe put a stop to that, eh?
A better idea would be to sell the whole continent to Disney. Let them sell the mineral rights and develop it.
Ditto.
The worst thing the Europeans did to Africa was leave.
Put a sock in it Jesse! We’re busy having a tsunami here!!!
How about an American version of the Marshall plan?
We could use some reconstruction right here in America.
Let me predict that this Clinton era (Mr Plame was behind it then) boondoggle is not getting off the ground, and calling jesse Jackson a “civil rights leader” is no way to induce readers to continue following the story.
...not one cent to that black hole of a continent...and starting today, the influence of black politicians in Congress just took a beating...the race card is maxxed out.
Watch Out Africa! Jesse must see some $$$ and is coming in for the ‘ShakeDown’!!!
URN8 on africa
URN8 on africa AND jessie jackass
Before we pour any more aid into Africa we need to establish some non-corrupt governments..preferably democratic, but first of all non-corrupt.
Any project done in these countries needs to be controlled by the donor country and managed by them. No more free money for the local govt to dole out.
Then..there needs to be a massive literacy program. Without literacy..there can be no democratic govt and no prosperity.
Great Idea...lets begin by sending him and Sharpton back there...say, to Upper Volta?...nah, the Sudan where the Muslims can welcome these two “reverends” to the homeland

Jesse, you go first.
When are you moving to Africa?
Better bring a gross of condoms.
