BOSTON (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - The Secretary of State William R. Galvin says voter turnout is expected to reach record highs. He's projecting a bigger turnout in districts with highly contested congressional races. So far, Barney Franks' district has one of highest turnouts ion the state.
In Newton and North Attleboro, the lines were forming before the polls opened and the flow has been steady all day. People we spoke to say they're coming out to vote on tax issues.
The questions on the ballot were important to them. Some wanted to vote against the incumbent others felt it was important to stop the tide of opposition. Many say with all the hype and advertising they've seen- they simply couldn't stay home.

Good or bad???
I would think they are not coming out of the woodwork to vote for Barney Frank. North Attleboro is a conservative slice of the district (Brown won big here). Newton is fairly liberal on social issues but a lot of country club type Repubs. Brookline is the moonbat territory.

It’s important to remember that Scott Brown, a mere 10 months ago, carried Frank’s congressional district with 60% of the vote.

Maybe his district is tired of being represented by the creepiest act in the congressional freak show.

Voters said they are voted on taxes...
Sounds like discontented voters expressing anger.
Bad news for Barney. Good news for Sean [Bielat].
There were only two polls done: both on fairly small samples (400 or less).
The polls gave Barney Frank a 10 point lead.
Tomorrow (or tonight) we will see how accurate it is.

Newton is Barney's hometown and one of the most liberal town in the state so it could be that the high turnout there is due to liberals coming out in force to "save" Barney. The demographics in Newton is mostly white-collar and the trust-fund set.
North Attleboro is a different story. This is a gritty working class town. While they tend to vote Democratic, I just can't see them coming out in force to vote for Barney Frank. Sean Bielat has run a very strong campaign and his working class, Marine Corps background has much more appeal to the average working Joe than Barney Frank.
So outside of maybe Newton and Brookline, high turnout in Barney's district is a good sign. Actually Brookline is Sean Bielat's hometown so that might be a wash, favoring Bielat overall.

North Attleborough is in the 3rd district, not Barney’s (4th).

Ping. Don’t know how to read it all but praying that large turnout means he’s in trouble.

Big turnout in Newton (and Brookline) is bad for us; we need the rest of the district to have a huge turnout.

Gerrymandering is corrupt and should be outlawed. Districts should be drawn by computer to gather people closest to polling points irregardless of race, religion, gender, national orientation or sexual orientation.
