Why is Hillary Clinton hiding? Perhaps it's because her foreign policy has been a failure
Telegraph UK ^ | November 2, 2010 | Nile Gardiner

As Toby Harnden reports, Hillary Clinton has opted to stay well clear of today’s midterms, sitting them out in a two-week tour of Asia and Australasia. In fact she’s been as elusive as the Scarlet Pimpernel in the past few days. That’s a perfectly astute move from her point of view. Firstly, she can argue, it’s her job as Secretary of State to represent America on the world stage, and should be above the fray of domestic politics. Secondly, almost every poll is pointing to electoral disaster for her party as well as her administration, and the safest option is to be as far away as possible when the political tsunami hits.

But while she is geographically placing thousands of miles between herself and President Obama at a seminal moment in American history, Hillary Clinton cannot separate her own policies and leadership from the turmoil that is sweeping the White House.

...It is hard to think of a single foreign policy success this administration has achieved with Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama at the helm. Its hallmarks have been the appeasement of America’s enemies, groveling apologies before foreign audiences, the undermining of key alliances, and an embrace of supranational institutions that undercut US sovereignty. Important friends such as Great Britain and Israel have been slapped in the face, while deadly adversaries like Iran have been extended the hand of friendship. Frankly, I’m not surprised the Secretary of State has been all but invisible in the US media recently – after all, it’s difficult to defend a record of failure.

Hillary has screwed up everything she has ever done. Which isn’t much.

Hillary will be gone after December 31st. With Iraq falling apart as well as Afghanistan, if she plans on running in 2012 she will need to get away from this trainwreck.

Plus she will need campaign cash. Easier to do it the way Palin is doing it.

Preparation for the coming war with Obama. The Clinton crime family is going to the mattresses.

The basic premise of the article is incorrect.

It's not "Hillary Clinton's foreign policy," it's Obama's. He has in many cases taken over situations that would normally be handled by the SoS.

For sure, American foreign policy has been marked by failure and embarrassment ... but that's Obama's fault.

Hillary! is shrewdly lying low; because after today, 2012 will be beckoning and she needs to have distance between her and Obama.

I see her as the same progressive, soros backed machine. Sure they are plotting their strategy to keep power.

Also, I think Obama wants her to be a scapegoat for any failure in foreign policy.

My biggest concern about Hillary is her running for president in 2012. That’s why she’s hiding now. Then she can come riding in and save the democrat party

Agree,
she needs to be connected to the progressives and their agenda. The Clintons stayed at George Soros's daughters estate for Chelsae's wedding.

It will be the same influences but better connected. She will just continue the same globalist agenda.

The media is going after Sarah Palin now. The same should happen with Hillary.

“She’s in seclusion recovering from cankle reduction surgery.”

That’s the funniest thing I’ve seen all day. Thanks for the laugh.

Hillary's bound to know all his secrets, the Clinton 'Shadow Government' surely found all the goods on him during the Presidential election. The big question is why it wasn't 'used'. The job she holds is just a 'tidbit' in my opinion.

It’s because she wants to RUN AGAIN and doesn’t want to be tarnished with the election results or Obama. She wants to stay CLEAR of this mess.

She doesn’t have any foreign policy and any power; I said to a friend today that Hillary has put the “secretary” back in Secretary of State. She is nothing but an Obama minion. Not a willing one or a happy one, perhaps, but she does only what she’s told.

He hates her and he managed to completely defang her by giving her a powerful title and taking away all of her actual policy or decision making powers and delegating them to unelected “advisors.”

She didn’t count on that, and frankly, I don’t think either she or Bill quite knows what to do about it.

I can't help suspecting that this is why Bill assured the Dems that '94 only happened because they didn't pass health care "reform" so they'd better do it while they have the chance. I'll bet he's really snickering now!

She is hiding because she wants every one to forget she had the U.N. and other countries attack the state of Az.

So when the Alisky loving witch tries to break glass ceilings and fool all that she is a moderate it will be fresh from a face lift.

It was clear from the beginning that Obama put Hillary's testicles in a lock box. Here's hoping she returns the favor in the near future.
