Honestly, though, I'm surprised that so many people have turned against the president. Obviously, if you've lost your job, life is tough, but did voters really believe the country was going to quickly and dramatically reverse course once he was elected? So he hasn't yet made good on every campaign promiseisn't this like being shocked that you didn't lose as much weight doing Jenny Craig as Valerie Bertinelli did, or that your new memory-foam mattress didn't magically cure your insomnia?

But when I see Obama on television, I'm unfailingly struck by his intelligence and charisma, by his easygoing humor, by the magnificence of his megawatt smile. He just makes me proud, and perhaps this is where I should admit that if there are two categories of Obama criticsconservatives who never liked the guy and have in some cases become unhinged since he was elected, and centrists or Democrats who voted for him but now feel let downI suspect that, in the visceral nature of my response to our president, I have more in common with the unhinged nut jobs. By this I mean that my Obama admiration is a kind of emotional inverse of the right-wing Obama antipathy: I can pretend it's all about policy, but in truth, it's much more personal. Where his detractors dislike him because of, say, that Muslim vibe he gives off, I like him for similarly nebulous, albeit slightly more factual reasons.
I like that he's married toand seemingly still quite taken witha strong, opinionated, gorgeous woman, and that he has two ridiculously cute daughters. I like his mind-bendingly multicultural extended family. I like that in a campaign interview in Glamour magazine, he could fluently and unabashedly talk about Pap smears.

You can freshen up a little and grab your money on the way out, Curtis.
A couple more like that and you’ll be able to but that new Ipad you want.
*** I think Curtis is a woman ***
Thank goodness - I thought we were being treated to another bromance.
“..he could fluently and unabashedly talk about Pap smears.”
Barack Hussein “Pap smear” Obama. You heard it here first.
I read this earlier today and wasn’t sure if it was satire. LOL
We must be kind and hope he keeps his enthusiasm , Obama deserves at least one vote in 2012.
Epic Fail
When rating those who adore mac daddy I’m sorry to tell you this but you are a distant second.
Mac Daddy adores himself much more than any mere person could possibility approach.
>Today I am very happy with Urkel. Very proud of the job he has done.
Oh come now; Urkel being a fictional character still displayed worlds more character and depth than [IMO} Obama does.
Considering that, isn’t calling Obama ‘Urkel’ a bit of an insult to Mr. White [who played Urkel] and the writers of the show?
She adores him spending $200,000,000 a day to visit Bombay?
well, he must have really been in love with jimmuh cahtah...
“But when I see Obama on television, I’m unfailingly struck by his intelligence and charisma, by his easygoing humor, by the magnificence of his megawatt smile”
I’m struck by his profound ignorance about subjects illustrated by his total dependence on a telepromter. His charisma is displayed through his thorough disgust of anything American, always trying to divide this country through clas warfare and racism. His and his wife’s humor is displayed by their seething hatred of their “enemies”.
I haven’t seen him smile much lately.
