Wow. If he was smart he would have ignored this issues since it made him look weak and ineffectual to have let Jon get away with it at the time. If he was forced to respond to it he could have said something like “of course it was impolite and ill-mannered. But I was in his house and didn’t want to embarrass him on his show by pointing out his poor manners so I ignored his faux pas and moved on.”
