In the 1980s, a Pantene hair product commercial featuring a gorgeous woman with the name Rula Lenska and a slight, very sultry accent opened with the line "Don't hate me because I'm beautiful."

Just to go juvenile for a indulgent moment...:
Our girls are *red* *hot*!
Their DemboSluts ain’t *doodly* squat!
;oD
Unattractive women fell cheated, and they take it out on everyone they can.
fell = feel
when you are ugly inside, no features outside will help
A beauty expert says “there are no unattractive women; just LAZY ones.”
SO if you don’t care enough about being attractive to your mate, to the opposite sex, you will NOT take the time to take care of yourself but instead turn to cheezie poofs, the results will speak for themselves.
I’m finding most young women today have fallen for this feminist crap, don’t care about their diet or their appearance and instead, try to convince themselves that they are “hot,” muffin top and all.
Most militant “feminists” are JEALOUS over the POWER attractive women have over men. They don’t have this power because they have chosen not to put in the effort to BE attractive.
Conservative women on the other hand, care enough about their appearance and attractiveness, that they work out, have a skin care regime, get their hair and nails done, try to wear flattering clothes.
In 1980, Im sure both Noonan and Dowd subscribed to the phrase “Don’t hate me because I’m beautiful.”
But with age and word inflation, now a days both harpies
only subscribe to the first three words of the phrase as they try to peddle their unwanted wares.
Good point. Many women object to the fact societal norms favor women who wear makeup.
I think it was actually Kelly LeBrock.
+1 zillion points on your post.
I prefer women who have that clean and wholesome look. Maybe I'm a closet liberal, eh?
“when you are ugly inside, no features outside will help”
....Yes, and when you are beautiful on the INSIDE, there’s a sparkle to you, a glow, a magnetic ‘thing’ that draws people TO you......no matter how God and genes may have arranged your features.
pattyjo :-)
Post one picture of Rosa DeLauro(D-UMB) and any trace of this argument is over.
It's not that hard to find these things, but even the journalists who try to be neutral are far too lazy to do their homework.
That said, there certainly are some lovely ladies running for the GOP this year. I hope they are as savvy and determined as they sound right now, because they have a tough row to hoe.
You must also prefer very young women too, stay away from the kids. ;-)
Seriously? Helen Thomas is simply lazy? She looks like she's worked harder than half a dozen clydesdales!
No,unfortunately, some have fallen from the ugly tree and have been flogged senseless by every branch on the way down.
It's funny, you see more and more of this in what passes for journalism today, even though it is arguably much easier to do fact-checking and basic research because of the Internet as compared to back in the old days when these resources did not exist.
rotfl! good one!
Yes Don, and Rula Lenska was doing VO5 hair commercials; but nobody knew who she was. Saturday Night Live and Johnny Carson made routines of ‘who in the hell is Rula Lenska?’
I remember, she had red, Farrah Fawcett type hair, and had a DEEP voice.
Kelly LeBrock had the orginal ‘trout pout’ and was the one who said ‘don’t hate me because I am beautiful.’
