Two days before the midterm elections, a new national poll indicates that Republicans have a 10-point lead over the Democrats in a crucial indicator in the battle for control of Congress.
The GOP's 10 point advantage in the "generic ballot" question in a CNN/Opinion Research Corporation national survey released Sunday is slightly larger than the seven point advantage Republican candidates had on the eve of the 1994 midterms, when the party last took control of Congress from the Democrats.
"But unlike 1994, when polls indicated the public had a positive view of the Republican party, a majority of Americans now do not have a favorable view of the GOP," says CNN Polling Director Keating Holland.

According to the poll, 52 percent of likely voters say they will vote for the generic Republican in their congressional district, with 42 percent saying they will vote for the generic Democrat, four percent saying neither and two percent undecided. The GOP's 10-point lead is up from a seven-point advantage in a CNN poll conducted in early October.

“I sometimes watch MSNBC just to gauge the nuttiness factor....but when the torture becomes to much I change to Fox.....Ed Schultz, Chris Matthews and Keith Olb are sometimes better than a comedy routine.....plus since they have so few viewers, I figure no one is taking them seriously........it should be fun on Tuesday night....and yes, an onair meltdown by Keith would be icing on the cake”
Set your DVRs! They’ll get their highest ratings in decades...;)
“This is great news. For months I have worried the Republicans had peaked too soon.”
I think all of us who care so much for this once great nation have been worried about this to one degree or another...Praise God the gap is persisting...
Love the ‘teanami’ reference!
Pray for America.
Exactly, except I’ll take rum in MY Slurpee, thank you!
There’s a tow-truck known as the Private Sector waiting for the Democrats to get out of the way so it can get the American Economy back on the road again.
All the Dem’s pushing has put the car further in the ditch, they’ve got sprained ankles, pulled hamstrings, hernias, caked in mud, soak and wet, catching pneumonia, all sick and beat up, a real mess... on Nov 2 we’re just going to have to haul these guys away too, many in ambulances, and let the tow-truck do it’s efficient effective work.
Private Sector Market Economy back in action Wednesday morning. Love it!!
While I sip away on my rum-soaked slurpee Tuesday night enjoying all the fun!
“Seeing as this was done by CNN, you can add an additional +15 to the GOP side.”
But, but, but CNN has Erick Erikson so they must be objective.../sarc

I live in the 19th District where RINO Congressman Todd Platts is going to win without my vote.
I would love to be in the 4th supporting Keith Rothfus and in the 16th Joe Pitts has always been more conservative.
The RINO brigades have me more angry than Democrats right now because it smells like the fix is in to keep Lisa Murkowski as Alaska’s senator.
“Slightly larger? Slightly? 45% (appx.) is slight?”
We’re gunna really see tortured semantics on Tuesday night!
“The RINO brigades have me more angry than Democrats right now because it smells like the fix is in to keep Lisa Murkowski as Alaskas senator.”
If she’s ‘wins’ she can caucus with the clown in MN.
I think I might turn in on MSNBC, pop some popcorn and enjoy the gnashing of teeth and tears. What story in their building do they broadcast from?
Mmmmmmm.....as for me, I just hate to see grown people cry (/snix).
Pennsylvania’s former Specter supporting-Lisa Murkowski supporting Senator Rick Santorum is now a Fox News commentator and he is spinning that Murkowski will vote with Republicans if she is elected.
Who’s going to vote with the conservatives and patriots, then?
We need Sharron Angle, Christine O’Donnell, Rand Paul and Joe Miller along with other outside the RINO tent people to stir things up in Washington big time.
“Im voting for one Republican on Tuesday, Pat Toomey.”
Good. I hope you and everyone else is voting for Republicans up and down the ballot.
State Rep, governor, US Senate, etc.
A massive GOP victory would be a huge repudiation of Obama, Pelosi and their bad-for-America agenda.
And we will have them. This election is going to bigger then the pollsters think, except for Dick Morris he is right on. I live in a Chicago-like libby political machine patch. Our Congressman Rob Andrews has been in office almost 20 years and NEVER campaigns, always a guarantee win. But a couple of days ago signs started popping up and yesterday I received a robo-call from him. If Andrews wins with anything less than 65% of the vote this is going to be a very bad night for the libbies. And I believe it will. When you have a career politician, who has not campaigned since 1990, out there fighting you it is going to be a Nor’teaster Night.
“We need a surge in Delaware for the icing on the cake.”
Apart from toppling Harry Reid, pulling off a win in Delaware would do more than any other Senate race to send a message to Dems and Rinos that business-as-usual is OVER.
The story of the local Republicans here is not good, but they will win anyway.
These Republicans are the kind that vote to raise taxes, increase spending and support abortion.
More than one reason for me not to vote for them.

What a great image you just painted!! We need a Photoshop! With some Tea Partiers drinking slurpees as the tow-truck pulls up.
On a big wave like this (bigger than 1994) some real conservatives are going to the House who will shake things up.
“the electorate had a temper tantrum”
Isn’t it amazing how the electorate plummeted from being so brilliant, enlightened and racially tolerant just 2 years ago to today being such a racist bunch of uninformed buffoons?
“I think a lot of angry and frustrated people circled voting day IN RED on the calendar a long time ago and imagined a big red target on the backs of their deaf and uncaring “representatives” in government. As a civilized people, it’s all they could do.”
YEP! Grandma went to the town hall meeting to voice her concerns and ask questions about ObamaCare, etc. and was told she was stupid, racist, called a domestic terrorist, and generally treated in a most disrespectful manner.
She quietly left the meeting, went home, and circled November 2nd on her calendar with a red pen.
Yesterday she got grandpa’s old 12 gauge double barreled shotgun out of the closet, dusted it off and loaded it with two rounds of magnum 00 buckshot.
She’s ready for Tuesday, and she hasn’t forgotten a single thing about how she was made to feel the first time she ever went to a political event to respectfully voice her concerns.
“Hollands justification for this breach of polling integrity”
Nice. For all of Gallup’s probably leanings, at least they ask the POTUS job performance question the same way they’ve been asking it for 50 or 60 years...push polling is the other side of the vile ministry of lefty propaganda’s coin.
