I met Carolinamom, which makes it all the more devastating to hear.
Prayers
She sent me her delicious potato cookies last Christmas and the Christmas before that. Each year in a Christmas tin. I wanted to send her something really special and she was so humble and said that she would be tickled to just get a very nice Christmas card. So that’s what I did.

Yes, certainly...thank you for the ping. Prayers and condolences for her family. We’ll certainly miss her.
Not another one. What a sad year here on FR.
May she rest in peace & prayers for her family.
Thanks for posting this, BigSkyFreeper.
Most of you don’t know that Miriam was a widow of many years. Her husband died quite young, when she was in her late thirties, and she never remarried, always saying he had been the love of her lie.
She raised 5 children by herself, all of whom are college graduates and successful people, and who loved her dearly.
Her two Yorkies will miss her as well.
She has been a comfort through so many of my hard times, and a person who always looked at the world through hopeful eyes.
I will say prayers for her at Mass this weekend, and I know that God has welcomed her home to be with her husband.
But gosh, I will really miss her.
She was also a great friend of Babbah, who passed away this spring.
I hate losing the good people.
Prayers being offered for Carolinamom’s soul. Condolences to her family and all who loved her.
Father, hear our prayers.
May Carolinamom rest in God’s peace.
Prayers for and condolences to her family and friends.
Prayers from our family to yours, Miriam.
You will be missed by your meerkat friends more than you know, God bless.
I am very sad. Prayers for her family. RIP, Carolinamom.
At least she is reunited with the love of her life and now see's the smile and feels the embrace of her Creator.
I will miss her too. She has certainly touched many lives in this life. She was always the eternal optimist who always found the silver lining and sunshine in any situation.
Losing Bahbah was tough too. It's been a tough year in FReeperland.
I read the ping from STARWISE, before I read your post, and the first thought to enter my mind was “Miriam so loved to tend to her yard.”
God Bless her sweet soul and prayers for her family she adored and would write about.
Sing with the Angels, Carolinamom!
RIP carolinamom
So sorry to hear this; I have always admired her.
Yes. She loved being outside working in her yard. I take comfort in knowing that she was doing the one thing she loved to do before she passed.
Oh, I am sorry. She was a good woman.
Rest In Peace Dear one.
You will be deeply missed.
Rest in peace, Carolinamom. Prayers up.
