Better question:

Is Joe Biden capable of running the country?

Then why did McCain pick her as VP? Is Cindy saying Palin was ready in 2008 (in case an elderly Pres McCain didn’t live through his term) but not now? Or, are the McCains admitting they weren’t in the race to win (so it didn’t matter if Palin was ready or not)?

Well -- we do know that Sarah is at least ten times as capable of running the country as the Øbozo who now pollutes the office...

Yes, but Sarah is more capable and more prepared than John, Cindy.

Totally right.

The only enthusiasm in the dreadful presidential run of McCain was created by Sarah.

He would have lost much worse without her.

Nobody liked him. We were basically voting against Obama.

I still can’t figure out how he became the candidate.

His wife and daughter belong in the female side of the dog pound.

Why should we pay attention to Cindy McCain? After all, what kind of respect does she get at home?

"NO, Lyndsey! Tonight's MY night!"

Sounds like the Republican establishment believes that Sarah hasn’t earned her “turn” to run for President.

Further proof that Palin's endorsement of McCain was an agreed upon courtesy/payback. I am absolutely convinced the agreement was the initial endorsement, recording of one set of media ads and that's it. Period. Nothing more. And that's all we saw- a very limited stump/endorsement cycle.

I honestly don't think McCain ever got over Sarah stealing his thunder, especially in light of the fact Sarah was his adviser's pick- not his.

Anyone who saw these two on the 2008 campaign trail knows who the star was.

If she does run, her support of McCain for his Senate seat will come back to bite her.

If she does become President, her support of McCain for his Senate seat will come back to bite her.

"Then why did McCain pick her as VP?"

Good point. It speaks volumes about McCain's own judgment if this is what they believe.

“LOTS of FReepers thought Sarah should show loyalty to Mclame and endorse him over JD Hayworth. How is that working out for ya?”

I was not in that group.

I have never supported McLame and never will. The guy is a dyed in the wool RINO and as such gets only my contempt and disgust. The sooner that he is out of our hair, the better I will like it.

McCain (and one can safely assumes all McCain’s) wanted Joe Lieberman. McCain was convinced by advisers to pick Palin.
