US midterm elections: Barack Obama's world turned upside down as Democrats face electoral disaster

By abandoning his own rhetoric of bipartisanship, President Obama divided America and set the course for a heavy Democratic defeat in Tuesday's midterm elections, argues Toby Harnden.

Welcome to the world as it was supposed to be for Barack Obama. Standing outside his campaign headquarters on St Charles Street in New Orleans, Cedric Richmond, the Democratic candidate, saluted a "great president" and rattled off the supposed benefits to his district of the Obama administration's reforms.

Obama's economic stimulus bill, he argued, created 39,000 jobs in New Orleans. Some 189,000 people in the city who had no health insurance will now be covered.

Barack Obama and Dick Cheney clash on terror"He's right on the issues and he's creating the kind of change that people believed in two years ago," said Richmond. "We didn't think the change would be easy, but he's initiated the type of reform to get us out of the hole Bush created."

In his whole miserable life, no one has ever told the boy king, “No”. We’ll see how he responds to Tuesday. Will he be humbled? Will he double down? Will he declare martial law? No one knows. Pray.

“Cao is the antithesis of the bomb-throwing Tea Party candidate. A centrist, no Republican in the House of Representatives has proved more willing to work with the White House.”

The author is trying to be objective, but gives his true point of view here with this jab.

That's one reason I love The Telegraph.

As of last week, Richmond was the only candidate in the country for whom Obama cut a television ad. That was Cao's reward for his attempts at bipartisanship in Washington.

How many more times will Republicans reach across the isle?

Well Cedric, ol' buddy, ol' pal....I hate to break it to you, but if your savior barack obama was all that great, we wouldn't be in this predicament with the economy, and the democrats wouldn't be having their collective asses handed to them on Tuesday.

Now you and barry can keep up this "Bush's fault" chant for the rest of your natural lives, but you're wrong, and saying it doesn't make it so.

I would suggest that you and barry scope yourselves out a prime spot on St. Charles street and get a good came of three-card monte going, it's your only hope.

We don't give a damn about your race card, we want to see a performance card for a change....you and him knows about that change, don't you?

naaa... none of this can be true. Nancy said the Democrats were going to keep the house (and maybe even gain seats), and that all those millions of protesters were just “astro turf”.

Takers and parasites vs. earners and producers.

That’s what the election is about.

Having moved serenely through life being complimented on being the first and the best at everything, Obama felt that his transcendent presence and intellect would be enough.

That is why he is clueless...about everything!

Cao’s loss will benefit conservatives more than democrats. It will send a strong message to the rest of the RINOs that they have no place on either side of the aisle. If you are a Republican, act like one, or get stabbed in the back by a democrat.

Trainers coached her for months trying to teach her how to smile. She had never done it and didn’t know how.

I have noticed that she is making progress but you can still see that mean anger and deep hate behind her smile.

This is one really angry woman. Might just be her normal temperament or it may have something to do with the marriage. I don’t know?

Regardless of what Obama claims, SHE DID listen to Wright for 20 years and is instilled we a deep hatred for all White people and the Western world in general.

She tries to keep it subdued but she has been so marinated in the Black radical/Black revolutionary culture it is impossible for her to hide it completely.

Next, they are going to work on her plodding Sasquach-like walk and her beachball sized butt.

When they are done with her, she will be a soft-spoken picture of socialite grace and beauty. (lol, yeah right hehehe)

“Will he be humbled? - NO. I expect to see a massive political temper tantrum launched from overseas against us uneducated, unwashed, stupid rubes.

“Will he double down?” - YES. In fact. I think his actions will be double-double-double-double downed (32 times his current positions). The time between November and April, when the new Congress is actually going to be seated, will be dangerous. That's right, April if we are lucky. If you think Florida in 2000 and Minnesota in 2006 were bad you ain't seen nothing yet!

“Will he declare martial law?” - More than likely when the losing democrats drag the 2010 elections through the courts with recounts after recounts after recounts - “We are going to keep recounting until we get the win and then we will stop!”

And after all of this the dimocrats will wonder why the 2012 election cycle is so acrimonious.
