I’m thinking how unusual this entire situation is. The President has said there were no bombs on the flights, yet he’s called it a “credible terrorist threat”.
While I understand the need for citizens to go on with our lives as normal, the President, I would assume, would be focusing his attention on his Country, keeping it safe during this “credible terrorist threat”. Yet, I read where he’s still going to be out campaigning today.
What’s wrong with this picture???

In fact, the dates are even looking good if you go back and look at the two recent UPS crashes.
Remember that Yemen and Usama are interchangeable. This was his primary and favorite base....and al queda means base.
I believe this is Usama joining forces with whomever he can.

One would also think that with a threat such as this the Jon Stewart Restore Obama rally would be canceled.
Honest to God, this whole situation is simply too weird.
I’m still grappling with the president being told something Thursday night- was he told it was serious threat or was he told they’d found explosives in Dubai and Britain? Why weren’t all UPS/FEDEX/cargo planes originating in Yemen grounded immediately? WHY were all those other planes presumably containing bombs allowed to proceed?
And I still have trouble with miliary jets being scrambled to escort passenger plane with package from Yemen in cargo section? Huh? What were the military jets going to DO? They don’t scramble them for the heck of it- so what was their actual purpose- other than making a big show on cable?
And why isn’t the country in virtual lockdown until those other 2 dozen bombs are located? WTH?!
I don’t get it- any of it.

I mean Wag the Dog is plausible- but it's not a joke they found actual explosives in two packages- a LOT more than the underwear bomber had. But the timeline of what we've been told isn't credible. Something's up and it's a hell of a thing to sit here and KNOW that I/we cannot trust our government to carry out their #1 mission; protect and defend.
What part is con???....That this was prevented but credible??? Except we didn't have anything to do with this "prevention"...
The real con: Ft. Hood was NOT a terrorist attack.
