... the title is drawn from how Karl Rove told Matthews that the CIA agent Valerie Plame was fair game for critics of her husband, Ambassador Joe Wilson.
Wilson, youll recall, was dispatched by the CIA in 2002 at the behest of Vice President Dick Cheneys office to investigate whether Saddam Hussein was trying to buy uranium from the African country of Niger. Wilson came back with the answer no, and he was outraged when President Bush nevertheless stuck with the claim in his 2003 State of the Union address, which made the case for war with Iraq. Just three days after Wilson attacked the speech in a New York Times op-ed, Robert Novak, the conservative columnist, blew Valerie Plames cover.

This is am important cultural & political moment b/c (1) the left is trying once again to ensure its dishonest history prevails, and (2) it's a new opportunity (right after the Demagogues are trounced in the election!) for all of us to try to ensure that the propaganda does not prevail this time.
I was amazed to see that this review/plug is written by Matt Cooper of legal and unethical notoriety during Plamegate!
He parrots every ‘Rat talking point and is visibly relieved that the film focuses upon ‘personal’ turmoil for Joe and Valerie Wilson rather than on the journalists, b/c that way it can be a propaganda sympathy story for how poooor Valerie’s life is upset by the eviilll empire.
No inconvenient focus upon lying lib journalists becoming part of the story.....
I predict more people were at that DC Union rally than will see this film. None the less it will be nominated for an Oscar.
Ambassador Joe Wilson... you'll recall, was dispatched by the CIA in 2002 at the behest of Vice President Dick Cheney's office to investigate whether Saddam Hussein was trying to buy uranium from the African country of Niger. Wilson came back with the answer no, and he was outraged when President Bush nevertheless stuck with the claim in his 2003 State of the Union address, which made the case for war with Iraq. Just three days after Wilson attacked the speech in a New York Times op-ed, Robert Novak, the conservative columnist, blew Valerie Plame's cover.Gosh, it's almost as if the President of the United States didn't rely on a couple of Demwits as his only source of information. Wilson outed his own wife anyway. Thanks Enchante.
key actors who will be entirely ignored, or else whitewashed, or simply fictionalized to serve lib talking points:
Richard Armitage
Colin Powell
Joe Wilson
Valerie Plame
Matt Cooper
David Corn
Patrick Fitzgerald
etc.
If those 7 (and others) could be required somehow to tell all they know and how the worked to bring down the Bush admin., the public understanding of the real history would be vastly enhanced.
one time ping
Return of Plamegate may seem to some like just a Hollyweird triviality, but it is also the Left’s latest attempt to enshrine the dishonest version of history, permanently.
How many people, years later, know much of Watergate except what was in the movies?
In this case, for which the facts were even more arcane and contested, he who controls the story on film controls its lasting effects as a left-wing talking point for years to come.
Lunacy ..
Hear the crackpots on their appearance on Tavis Smiley,
another public television taxpayer waste of millions.

I’m *sure* they’ll get an Oscar; after all .. Sean
Penn plays the bloated bilgepump, Joe Wilson.
Hey Joe .. hear about the Wikileaks revelation
that there WERE WMD in Saddam’s Iraq ???
Opportunist lying Doofus!
That sir, is a most excellent observation.
Regardless of the truthfulness, the movie will conquer the Sheeple’s mind!
They could do it documentary style, and use all of the actual documents and other hard evidence available to explain his life story.
Chapter 1 - (all from his “autobiography) Where he grew up, where he smoked pot and snorted cocaine, who he hung out with, etc.
Chapter 2 - All his school records, college records, etc. (since there are none, the director could just make it up, like Michael Moore did)
Chapter 3 - All of his community organizing, social connections, religious teachings, etc. (since there isn't much of a record here either, the director could cover his black theology, racist connections, and then make up whatever seems to fit best)
With such a small amount of actual documentation even providing the basic information that everyone else has, the movie shouldn't run more than an hour or so. And since Obama seems to have made up most of his life history, he shouldn't have much problem if the director does also.
Actually, Matt Cooper wrote this piece, and claims in it that it was Rove who leaked to him.
I’m well aware that Matt Cooper wrote the piece, and he is a liar, fraud, charlatan....
Plamegate = Stupidest and most confusing “-gate” EVER. The movie will stink, no one will watch it, it will make little money, receive many pointless awards, and further Hollywood’s march towards doom by continuing the emphasis of radical politics over profits.
Great graphic! Joe and Valerie apparently need another 15 minutes of fame fix. Meanwhile, Richard Armitage and Colin Powell can smile that this episode will never be attributed to them. And where, exactly, does Scooter Libby go to restore his good name?

love it!
It’s no surprise that this propagandistic movie gets made, or that Matt Cooper is still the dim-witted shill for the ‘Rats he’s always been, but isn’t there someone in the media who can speak intelligently and factually about this case?

Love it! Thank you!
Cheney’s office never tasked Joe Wilson to do anything. Valerie Plame and a group of liberals she worked with came up with the idea. She was never said to be a secretary—she was said to have a desk job and most certainly wasn’t super spy when her name came out. Why was her name brought up? There were questions to Cheney’s office wondering
why they would ask a liberal dem that had vowed to destroy the Bush presidency and wanted to “frog march” him out of the white house to go looking for yellowcake in Niger. It was only after a reporter(I have my suspicions of who one of them was) told someone in the Bush administration that Joe Wilson’s wife worked at the CIA and that maybe she tasked her husband to be the super spy to find out if the yellowcake existed that people in the administration used her name and then only when reporters asked why he was sent. This was fraud of the highest order by a group who wanted to discredit Bush and Cheney. Joe Wilson had no qualifications other than he knew a few people. We had qualified CIA operatives that were already over there that could have done a credible investigation. I think Cheneys office asked a question about WMD’s and Valerie and Joe came up with their plan to act outraged because truth is of the utmost importance to them. Little problem—the Senate issued a report she lied to them when she said she wasn’t involved in sending her husband. Notice also with Obama in WH we aren’t getting CIA and State Dept leaks weekly? Valerie didn’t look too distraught when she and hubby did photo spread and said they had picked out the stars they wanted to play them in a movie. It is time to expose these frauds often and loudly if they choose to get in the spot light again. The media is guilty of perpetuating the lies and leave out big chunks of the facts.
