New Poll Shows Democrats Lead in N.Y.
Reported by: Rebecca Solomon
Undated - Time is running out for statewide Republican candidates in New York to catch up with their Democratic opponents.
With less than a week before election day a new poll is released for the U.S. Senate races and the race for Governor.
The latest Qunnipiac University poll shows Democratic candidate Andrew Cuomo is continuing to stretch his lead over Republican Carl Paladino. The poll released Wednesday was taken between October 18th and the 24th.
It shows Cuomo's lead at 55% to 35% with 7% remaining undecided. On October 7th, Cuomo's lead was 18 percentage points ahead of Paladino. The margin of error is about plus or minus four points.
The closer of the two U.S. Senate races is between Democrat Kirsten Gillibrand and Republican Joe Dioguardi. The poll shows Gillibrand leading that race 57 to 34%. Long time Democratic Senator Charles Schumer has twice the support of Republican challenger Jay Townsend, 64% 32%. The closest U.S. Senate race affecting the Twin Tiers is in Pennsylvania. In that race Republican Pat Toomey's lead over Democrat Joe Sestak has narrowed a bit from September. In Wednesday's poll, Toomey has 43% of the support with Sestak having 36%. Toomey and Sestak are vying for the seat held by five-term Senator Arlen Specter, whom Sestak beat in the May primary.
This could be HUGH!
It’s New Yawk! This is normal and expected. You can’t fix stupid.
VEY (WORLD) SERIES!
That is just the signal for all NY counties to lay the fraud on thick to make it a reality.
Brake the presses!
If they keep this up, by the next census, Florida will have more electoral votes than New York.
Paladino has been really blowing it in terms of how he comes across - like a loose cannon. And then you have all the nasty ads Cuomo runs. I can’t wait until this is over. I just feel like I need a shower every time I hear a political ad.
New York is rich in 3 things: Bed bugs, STDs & Democrats.
Why isn’t his in breaking news - blinking and in font size 381??
Why isn’t this in breaking news - blinking and in font size 381??
I’M stuned!! lol! ANOTHER freepism comes to light...BRAKING!! I love it!

LOL
“Why isnt this in breaking news - blinking and in font size 381??”
Because it isn’t news.
At least not to those of us who live in this screwed up and screwed over state.
We have known from the word go that the Dems would win it all.
We have known from the word go that Cuomo was anointed and will be elected Governor.
We have known that no matter what we do we are screwed. We know that there is NO way to fix NY. It must crash and burn and fail utterly and completely before it can be rebuilt.
I don’t expect to see it happen in my lifetime.
I tell ya, I just can’t believe the dems are ahead in New York state elections! The world must be coming to an end!
In all seriousness, that Paladino guy was a disaster. I’m sure I agree with him 99.9% when it comes to the issues, but he was a TERRIBLE candidate. There’s more to running for office and being a politician than believing in the right things. I saw him on O’Rielly awhile back, and he was terrible. If you are running for a governorship, and can’t pull off an appearance on O’Rielly(not exactly a hostile environment for him), you are in the wrong line of work!
Finding someone with the right beliefs and ideology to run for office is EASY. None of it matters if the person is a HORRIBLE candidate. There are thousands of us FReepers that meet the criteria when it comes to our stance on issues, but hardly none of us would be fit to run for a major office.
I know it sucks, but that’s just how it is. Sadly, we have politicians for a reason.....
what! the Dog returns to his Vomit
You got me (so to speak).
LOL... I couldn’t tell which of the cat’s legs they are...
