Tim Profitt, the former Rand Paul volunteer who stepped on the head of a MoveOn.org-affiliated activist outside of a debate on Monday, said he thinks the woman, Lauren Valle, owes him an apology.
"I don't think it's that big of a deal," Profitt said of the incident in an interview with CBS affiliate WKYT. "I would like for her to apologize to me to be honest with you."
Profitt, a Rand Paul supporter who used to serve as a campaign coordinator for the Kentucky Senate hopeful's campaign, was caught on video on Monday stepping on Valle's head after she had been wrestled to the ground. Valle had been trying to offer a satiric award to the candidate.
Profitt later said he was sorry "that it came to that," but he argued to WKYT that Valle was not an innocent bystander. [...]

No, not restraint.
I’ve seen the video several times and the guy was WAY out of line.
After watching the video, I would have decked him.
Oh, piff.
Your words say big manly man, but your tone says hysterical little girl.
I have no idea what you mean by wrong (and you may not, either) but this was not wrong, and I suspect it won't be illegal, either.
You're part of the problem...you may want to consider that.
There's no good way out of a no-win situation. I don't blame the person who has to deal with it, I blame the person who set it in motion. IMO, it's a free-fire zone...throw her down on the ground and restrain her as you will. The second person on the ground with a boot in the face, BTW, should have been the person with the camera.
The MoveOn punk doesn't have any claim to gentle treatment, and she's no lady; a girl, maybe.
Go hide in a corner somewhere before some Code Pink b!tch yells "BOO!!!" at you.
Yep, but the little liberal ones here are gonna think you are nuts!
Well this is the thing that will help the Dem to keep all seats that they hold at this moment and gain even more.....
That is my worst fear, hope I am wrong.
You are right on, the whole Mid Term Elections MAY (and in all likelihood)have turn to the Dems favor.
As Paul's car is pulling up, she pushes her way through the crowd, and attempts to shove an object (her sign) into the car into Paul's lap. She appears to have been trying VERY hard to convince the people around her that she was engaging in an attempted assassination. She succeeded.
If you are restraining someone, you do so - hold them down.
You do not repeatedly push them into the concrete. You just hold them down.
How hard is this to understand?
Applied to the Police Academy, did you?
Thanks for the ping. I watched the film of her trying to get at Rand and then I watched (again) the film of her being pushed to the ground. The whole thing makes a lot more sense now if you understand that the two events are a single event.
They wrestled her to the ground immediately after her attempt to get at Rand. I understand why now. They held her down, someone kept saying “get the police, get the police”. Then the dufus walked over and put his foot on her and shoved, and someone else says, “none of that!” and repeated it, “none of that!”, and the dufus walked away.
I was thinking before, surely if someone was stomping on the girl (even if she was a disruptor) someone else would have come to her aid. In watching the film again, sure enough someone did, which is why dufus walked away.
This goes back to an earlier comment I made, that in every public meeting they should have more than one videocam rolling at all times so that when something like this happens, and its going to happen more and more, the other side is going to try and make it happen, its important that we have a complete tape of the event and not just the edited version that turns up on you-tube.
