Mostly he just introduces feel-good Resolutions. But, he is a Republican, so he prevents a Democrat from holding the seat. And he voted against Obamacare.
You haven't heard of him because he's a workhorse, not a showhorse. Dependably conservative, not flamboyant, and not running for President. We could use more like him.
Burr has deliberately avoided the spotlight, in contrast to the John Edwards-type camera-chasers.
He has worked on some good legislation, including a conservative health care reform proposal.
But I agree with you and many others, and would prefer that he be more vocal and public in his opposition to the liberal agenda and his advancement of conservatism.
Burr’s all right- he’s good on guns, actually IS a North Carolinian (I despise politicos who just have a post office box here, like say, Elizabeth Dole) and he’s better than the communist bat Hagan who occupies our other Senate seat. And his office at least answers correspondence....
