Three Words To Describe The Pelosi Congress? (Globe Spins for Dems)

If I asked you to describe the performance of the Pelosi Congress in three words - three family-friendly words, that is - what would they be? “Corrupt and incompetent?” “Arrogant and inept?” Maybe “dazed and confused?”

The Boston Globe-Democrat’s three words? “Record of Accomplishment.” And here’s the scary part: I think they mean it.

Knowing the Globe, I wasn’t surprised that they endorsed every Democrat for Congress. After all, they haven’t endorsed a single Republican in a congressional general election this century.

Worse, Americans are still filing 450,000-plus jobless claims a week, and Massachusetts just had the biggest one-month job loss in years.

Obamacare? Terrific! “In no way responsible for the economic woes burdening today’s voters,” says the Globe-Democrat. Reality, alas, says something else. As National Review points out this week, “Premiums are up, insurers are dropping coverage for Medicare Advantage recipients, companies are abandoning their workers’ coverage - and the voters, particularly the elderly, are unmollified.”

Worse, would-be employers are telling anyone who will listen (a group that clearly doesn’t include Globe editorial writers) that the uncertainty of Obamacare and its costs is keeping them from hiring.

Congress promised Obamacare would not add to the deficit, that it would “bend the cost curve down” and we would be able to keep our current coverage. This plan - backed by...

I believe that after Nov. 2 the biggest accomplishment of the Pelosi reign will be the turnover of Congress to the republicans.
