PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP)
(Excerpt) Read more at necn.com ...
Take a look at Robitaille's Web site: http://robitailleforgovernor.com/. Looks pretty conservative to me. Given the choice I would choose him.
He passes muster with my 92-yo life-long Democrat mother, who lives in RI and says she's voting for him.
With that broad brush, you've now insulted all rocks. There are quite a few rocks out there that are actually smarter than Linc Chaffee...
The only Dem tohave a secure seat this fall....
I'd take a Democrat over Chaffee anyday. He may be less Leftist than Chaffee and he has to be smarter.
Hopefully, this will work wonders for Himes as it did for Martha Coakley in MA.
He loves Obama.
Exactly! Don't fall for it, Semper911. We've been fooled time and time before by these 'RATs...
“...If Obama had the bubonic plague or small pox he’d wouldn’t be any more unwelcome at Democrat campaign events than he is right now...”
Yeah, but being the good little apparatchniks they are, they’ll all queue up and support/vote for whatever horsesh*t the Chosen One sends their way.
Bluster means nothing. So-called “Blue Dog dems” showed us that.
This is RI, and we conservatives here sometimes have to make our vote count by picking the best of the worst, or by strategically voting against a disastrous front runner.
Robitallie (R) isnt going to win, so it is a wasted vote. And I am not convinced of his conservatism, either. So I would mainly be voting against Chaffee and for someone who at least claims he won't raise taxes. I really have no other choice (other than to move to a conservative state.)
I think Chaffee is the real democrat in the race, and Obama knows that. That's why he said he wasn't endorsing anyone. By doing that, he effectively endorses Chaffee. Bastard.
Exactly.
Ha.
The political landscape has certainly gotten much simpler in the last few years. All the Democrats: Bad. Wish I could say "All Republicans: Good" but....not so much. At least were finally getting a few sane people elected.
RI is a very difficult state to poll. That said, the last one I saw had Caprio (D) and Robitaille (R) at 28. Chafee at 27.
Robitaille is actually pretty solid on the issues. Hopefully, he wins and gets enough allies to sustain a veto.

Robitaille was tied for the lead in one poll and within single digits in another. Not a lost cause.
Caprio is better than Chafee but I think he’s lying when he calls himself a tax cutter.
Robitaille can’t win only if people like you don’t vote for him.
The “he can’t win” line is used by Leftists to trick Conservatives into not voting for the better candidate.
It’s time to stop helping the Leftists succeed.
With the exception of the Colorado Governor race, everyone needs to just vote for the (R) in every race this election. We cannot afford not to.
I agree.
As an example, I have a large rock in my yard which has never, in the 20 years I have lived in my house, said anything stupid.
I’ll bet Lincoln Chaffee said something stupid while I was typing this.
Thanks Semper911. Candidate Frank Caprio — perhaps best known for the Christmas classic “It’s a Wonderful Life” — said this as a way of getting some publicity and to tap into the rising tide of anti-Obama sentiment. Chafee is running as an independent, but he was a true RINO anyway. The Pubbie is John Robitaille.
I don’t trust them as far as I can throw them! It’s probably staged!
Not exactly. The famous film director was Frank Capra.
