Conservative Wall Street Journal columnist Stephen Moore was delivering a luncheon address to a group of like-minded New Jersey voters in August when something unexpected happened. // Moore asked audience members to name their preferred presidential candidate in 2012. Several offered Ken Cuccinelli's name.
"I was surprised, not because I don't think a lot of Ken," he said. "I was surprised people knew Ken."
The fact that Garden State voters know Cuccinelli well enough to mention him in presidential speculation illustrates the rapid ascent of Virginia's hard-charging attorney general.
In less than a decade, he's gone from an insurgent Republican candidate for state Senate to winning statewide office in a landslide.
And in a bit of fortuitous timing, Cuccinelli, 42, now finds his limited-government, anti-tax message resonating with swaths of an electorate anxious about the fate of the nation and their own livelihoods amid an unstable economy.

Gotta respect that Engineering Degree, . . . but from UVA?
Yea for Kenny C...
but this piece is definitely biased as is most of the crap from this, my local paper that I only get on Sunday though I pay the total rate. Reading in the article, the reporter, in an unvarnished display of bias, says that a supporter “gushes” when speaking of Kenny.
I ask you, do they REALLY think we are that stupid? The slant is so bloody obvious that it is insulting...this paper is a POS and I only get the Sunday edition because of the coupons...
I’ve been very impressed with Ken Cuccinelli each time I’ve heard him. His legal case against Obamacare is one that I am watching.
Can you explain your point?
You are against Cuccinelli?
DeMint/Cuccinelli 2012.
There’s a pair who can bring some real hope and change.
If my posting was against Cuccinelli, I’d put a sarcasm mark after it, dontcha know. I’ve supported Cuccinelli for a long time, since we lived in No. VA and he started into politics. I’m so proud of our state in electing a guy who will stand up to the libtards.
How interesting you thought I wasn’t a supporter - I didn’t think my post was that confusing.
Had your coffee yet this morning?
But seriously, “gushed” is what stood out to you?
Ken’s rapidly solifying himself as a conservative hero. I’ve heard lots of people “gush.”
I’m just sayin’...
When written in an obviously derogatory manner, it jumps out - rarely is “gushed” when discussing the deranged Obam-bot supporters.
I guess some of us have more sensitive BS radars than others...
okie doke

Cuccinelli’s an outstanding conservative talent. He has a very bright future, I believe.

That would work for me! Though, I think Ken needs a few more years to make himself known to American voters. Bet that WILL happen if his efforts to blunt 0bamaCare bear fruit.

I like him, too. We’ll see if he runs for governor next or re-election as Attorney General before heading to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
