Will 'fusion center' accept 'militia enthusiast's' challenge?
Gun Rights Examiner ^ | 24 October, 2010 | David Codrea

Almost two weeks ago we discussed an "Intelligence Brief" by the Kansas City Regional TEW Inter-Agency Analysis Center focused on Mike Vanderboegh and his in-development novel "Absolved."

Relying heavily on Southern Poverty Law Center talking points that conflate patriots with haters (indeed, we've seen the relationship between SPLC and "homeland security" enforcement solifidify into one of quasi-official symbiosis), the report claimed:

Vanderboegh’s novella is very similar in nature to a 1978 novella, The Turner Diaries. In The Turner Diaries, an overthrow of the U.S. government and race war was depicted. The novella became, and is still considered, a staple of anti-government, racist rhetoric. Timothy McVeigh was an avid reader of The Turner Diaries and was possibly motivated by its content to conduct his attack on the Oklahoma City Murrah Federal Building.

This, of course, is nonsense, as Vanderboegh has been one of the leading voices in the "militia movement" against racism, and this has been documented time and again, notably in Professor Robert Churchill's "To Shake Their Guns in the Tyrant's Face," where, as I observed in my GUNS Magazine review:

He continues on through the post-Waco/Ruby Ridge militia resurgence to where we are now, introducing us to key leaders of a movement that is not the monolithic stereotype many assume, as evidenced by the schism separating malignant factions promoting hate from Constitutionalists promoting rights for all.

With this much "misunderstanding" evident about the nature of what they're briefing themselves on, it's a fair question to ask if law enforcement is truly interested in learning first-hand about the subject of their brief? Or does it serve their purpose to stick with SPLC talking points in order to justify potential future actions with the media?

The SPLC is a joke. They are all about promoting hate... of anyone who takes the Constitution seriously.

I wish everyone would read "Unintended Consequences". I really like what happenend to the corrupt politicians and they way Henry Bowman took them out.

Methinks that when the balloon goes up (stolen election, 3rd term of Obama, confiscation of Guns, confiscation of 401k, reparations, etc) that there will be ALOT of "Henry Bowmans" and will act locally cleaning up the "critter" population.

Gotta run and feed the hogs! See ya!

Interesting that you should mention confiscation of guns.
My theory is that if it comes it will be after an indirect confiscation; consider that in 2014 the ObamaCare bill makes it a FELONY for someone not to have health insurance. How many people will be unemployed in 2014? As I understand it there is also no provision for a “gap” in coverage should you decide to change insurers.

And we all know how popular/accepted/ingrained the prohibition against felons owning firearms (or ammunition) is.

PS - I would not be surprised to learn that ObamaCare raises the prohibition against the “mentally ill” from firearm ownership to such criminal levels AND allows bureaucrats to define who is or is not “mentally ill.” I foresee the possibility of owning a gun, or even desiring to own one, as proof of mental illness therefore disqualifying any such person from owning a gun.

When you’re over the target, you take flak.

Mikey V’s over the target, and is mighty unpopular with them-powers-that-be...

RE Unintended Consequences:
It’s a powerful book. I suggested and then lent it out to 25 people over time, had them initial it and send it back to me. Some of them bought it, and lent it out to 25 more. My copy is worn and dog-eared.

Networking, you know...:^)

Sound familiar? SPLC trying to drive up another author’s circulation.

You’d think they’d reprint the damn thing. Used copies are going on Amazon or Ebay for $80-100.
