ORLANDOThere are hundreds of plausible nominees for the title of Americas Second-Smarmiest Politician, but surely the top spot is un-contested. Americans of all political persuasions can come together in affirming one proposition: Public life would be improved by scrubbing Rep. Alan Grayson from it. This act of civic hygiene probably will be performed Nov. 2 by voters of Floridas Eighth Congressional District. Polls indicate that a majority of them plan to deny Grayson, 52, a second term by electing his resonantly named opponent, Daniel Webster.

Well, at least he'll know that he has a job working at MSNBC when he loses...

His concession speech should be interesting.
To: Nachum
Grayson certainly is a poster child for the left.

A total lunatic. The man spent nearly 2 weeks in a mental institution and yet was never questioned about this last election.

We should run a poll on just exactly WHOM the craziest Demwit pol is! I would have voted for Sheila Jackson Lee who asked if the Pathfinder (on Mars) saw the Flags planted by astronauts in 1969.Hell, everybody knows that Nissan hadn't come out with the Pathfinder yet!
Now this Grayson clown may push her aside for the "honor."

We could put them all on an island as long as they don’t run to the left side and sink it.

Will takes a whack at Charlie (flip-flopper) Crisp in this article as well.
It was amazing that Grayson (the 911 truther) managed to get elected in this normally Republican district.

George Will might not be the most conservative person in the world, but he can turn a phrase. Agreed. The one I like was "psychologically guillotined" when he pointed out the difference between earlier immigrants, who had to assimilate because they were too far from home, as compared to the current bunch who are culturally reinforced on a daily basis.

We still have 9 days to enjoy the antics of Orlando’s favorite “non-native son”, Alan G. He’s a national embarrassment, but - from here in central Florida - he’s our national embarrassment! Not to fret, though. In addition to the usual suspects of the Congressional Black Caucus (they’re a scream a minute, as they steal, like and promote marxist causes!), don’t forget we still have Sen. Stuart Smalley to lead the DC Chapter of the Insane Clown Posse!
Oh, BTW, saw Palin yesterday here in Orlando. She spent some time talking about our congressman from the Psych Party. She was hysterically funny, calling him repeatedly a “Jackwagon”!. That woman certainly has the proverbial velvet hammer. She skewered Obama, Pelosi and Reid repeatedly, and threw in a couple of body blows to Crist - but, she reserved special indignation for Alan G.

I never heard the word 'jackwagon' until a few days ago, when I saw
this.
Excellent words need wide distribution, like this one got. Then one word can tell the whole story, which is good. Why waste too much breath on Grayson when there's more important stuff to talk about.

- Alan Grayson's camp defends 'whore' remark [10/27/2009] -- Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-N.Y.) said Monday night that Grayson is "one fry short of a Happy Meal," but changed his tune a bit after speaking to his Florida colleague about the matter. "Alan Grayson is a friend and an extraordinary member of Congress. No obviously playful comment from me should distract from the important role Rep. Grayson has played in focusing on the true and tragic costs of our broken health care system," Weiner said in a statement e-mailed to POLITICO. "He is a leader and a patriot."
