Police Find Homeless Woman's Mummified Body In Passenger Seat
COSTA MESA, Calif. -- A California woman who befriended a homeless woman and let her sleep in her car told police she didn't know where to turn when the woman unexpectedly died - so she drove the body around for months along with a box of baking soda to hide the smell, authorities said Thursday.

The woman who drives the car, a 57-year-old who herself had fallen on hard times and was living with friends, told officers she had last seen the woman alive in December. It wasn't clear when she discovered the body in the car, he said.
"She felt she would be accused of something and with everything going on in her life, she didn't want to deal with that," Everett said.

and besides, she got to use the HOV lanes without all the chit chat
She was 57.
But she had the body of a much younger woman.
Gotta use that HOV Lane!
Sneaking on to the HOV lanes.
The woman obviously isn’t all there mentally. She lived with friends and they didn’t see a DEAD BODY in her car?????? No one saw it when she drove to the market or around town?? It was MUMIFIED for crying out loud.
“Cops: Woman Drove Around With Body For Months”
That’s what she said! (Don’t ya hate it when that happens?)
Why not. She had a box of baking soda to help with the `odor` I guess she made do...
I heard this yesterday on KFI.
At first it sounded so crazy that we laughed.
John, of John and Ken on KFI, was joking and saying how she could have just dumped the body in the desert, no one would know. Gads, if she was seen .... NO one would have believed her.
Then I thought about this poor women who had died, and was dead for ten months, ... and apparently no one missed her. How truly tragic.
But then she would have become bird food. It’s terrible when people joke about the death of a homeless person.

I can't begin to fathom how she handled it.
We once had a dead squirrel in the attic and it was absolutely unbearable.
Talk about riding dead heading.
I feel so sorry for this woman. She was doing a good deed by letting the homeless woman sleep in her car, and then freaked out when that woman died and didn’t know where to turn because she thought she would be blamed somehow. That’s sad.
